I ordered this bass guitar as a gift for my son's 14th birthday. It arrived securely packaged and it looks beautiful! We were greatly impressed by the quality right out of the box! It came with everything he needed (I ordered a stand, pics and a tuner separately), so he was able to use it right away. The amp is small, but just right for a beginner...it's not too loud and can easily be transported for travel between home & school. I will definitely order his next guitar from Glarry Music. I have been a luthier for over 40 years. I build, restore, and repair acoustic and electric guitars. I can honestly say that i am truly amazed by this guitar. Even with my resources i couldn't build a guitar of this quality for this price! I bought the guitar with intensions of upgrading the tuners, pickups and bridge. However, it plays great as is so i wont be doing these upgrades. This guitar plays and sounds every bit as good as my Strat Players and MIM guitars. Excellent product!
I'm satisfied with the purchase just thrilled with the shipping time line, was very fast I did not expect to be so quick for the product to arrive.
Thank you good service
I just left a review and would like to 5% coupon also is there a ways that you could set up a payment plan where I can make payments on additional guitars
I have had this guitar for a while now that I purchased a glary and before I purchase this one I did not play lead guitar since I have been learning and getting pretty good I appreciate the opportunity to better myself with guitar it's a second guitar and about to buy a third
I ordered this for a friend for Xmas. It shipped fast, and was packed very carefully. I removed the bass, looked it over and found it to pretty impressive. There were a couple of fish eyes in the paint on back, but I found no other defects The neck was straight, bridge was straight, nut was cut perfectly. Electronics worked perfectly, no buzz or feedback. Before tuning, I lubed the tuners, they seemed pretty tight. I highly recommend lubing the tuners. After tuning, I plugged into a amp I already have and started playing, I was and am very impressed. I have not put it down for very long, and I decided to keep it for myself!! I ended up ordering another one to complete my Xmas gift. I did use the 20w amp that came with the package and all I can say is it will be good for my friend to learn/practice with, but it is by no means top notch. Didn't expect it to be.
I was looking for a budget guitar to use as a backup during my blues gigs or maybe use (at most) during rehearsals. Upon arrival of this guitar, I was BLOWN AWAY by the quality of this guitar. Needless to say, this is now my gigging guitar. I have had ZERO issues using this during live performance, I am now seriously considering making my entire lineup consist of Glarry strat style guitars. I'm dead serious, if you love music and playing like I do- you NEED to try one of these out. Buy one, wait a day for it to get to you, spend a couple hours setting it up to your liking, and find yourself (like me) wondering how you scored such an amazing deal. 10 thumbs up Glarry, keep 'em coming!
Love the Glarry Guitars i have given over 10 to some great guitar players all professionals and have received very good pictures and reviews from them. All impressed with Glarry.
I've wanted a Jazz style bass for quite a while. Since I'm not a great player (mediocre would be an apt description of my abilities) and bass is not a primary instrument, I did not want to buy anything expensive for my first bass. So, when I saw this at such a price, I could not pass it up this time. I had seen many inexpensive bass guitars with a P/J pickup configuration (split coil neck, single coil bridge, ala Precision bass and Jazz bass respectively) , but I wanted a straight Jazz pickup se ...I've wanted a Jazz style bass for quite a while. I some ways I was disappointed, in others I was pleased.
The disappointment came in the neck shape and size, and, to a lesser degree, the electronics. First, this has a very big neck, very fat, very wide. I was looking for the narrow neck of a Jazz type bass, this is not it. That being said, it is well made, and quite solid. Even with the bigger neck, I have little problem banging out notes on this up and down. Second, this is expected at the price, the pickups are quite micro phonic and a little noisy with some overdrive. The main reason for this is they are not wax potted which is quite reasonable for a bass in this price range. A simple pickup upgrade would fix this.
The good. It has the Jazz bass growl and mid range punch I was looking for out of a bass, and with a single coil, Jazz style, middle (or neck, depends on how you say it and what you call it) it does not have the smooth boomy sound of a P-style bass pickup, much tighter and more mid range sound. The setup is good enough to play, but it could be better, again, this is to be expected on such a low priced instrument, room for improvement. The fit and finish are very good, no issues that I have found as of yet. I love the natural, unpainted, look of the body, reminiscent of the F-type Jazz basses from the '70s. I am an experienced tech with as soldering iron and have replaced many, many pickups in my guitars over the years, haven't opened it up yet. Overall, this is good stuff.
This Bass is such a beautiful delicacy. Especially for starters. I love everything about this. Nothing has upset me, I'm even going to use it in a gig. Trust me, the is the best budget bass you can get.
Well, I would say that for a complete beginner guitar, this item is OK. If the beginner discovers that they want to really continue and study music and guitar, then a better guitar would be in order. I ordered two guitars; I had to make a small tightening adjustment on the tuning pegs because two of them kept going out of tune . The aroma of polyurethane was strong, but it has since gone away . The customer service at Glarry's is excellent and here's why: I bought two guitars for two students. One of them had a crack inside the body where the truss rod is housed. I sent an email to Glarry and they returned the cost of the guitar .
In short, I think Glarry may be a strong force in the music business in the future as long as their quality control improves. The other economy guitars that sell for $68 to $78 are the same quality ~ ~ ~.
Decent guitar is almost an exact copy of an 60s/70s Stratocaster. Beautiful finish is fairly soft and scratches easily, but it may not be completely cured. Strings are really awful - poor action and tone but a set of Ernie Ball Hybrids fixed noth issues. Tone is surprisingly good through all 3 pickups. Amplifier has decent sound and power but there's an odd hum at some, but not all, settings that may be coming from the amp, the guitar pickups or controls, the supplied cable (very cheap!), or the ...Decent guitar is almost an exact copy of an 60s/70s Stratocaster. I have another amp and cable but haven't had time to test them out. Overall, a nice starter guitar kit, especially for the price!
Arrived a couple of hours ago and I've been playing it since. Tuned up right away and held tuning even though I've been strumming chords vigorously. Great sound: full of fidelity and volume. Looks great, too. The neck and frets feel comfortable for my big (drummer) fingers, too. What a fine guitar for a great price!
I wasn't sure if I liked this guitar at first, but for the money, its actually quite good! Plays real nice, and actually sounds very good. For the money, you really cant beat it!
