My wife is by no means a professional cellist, and only played a little in college, but she wanted to pick it up again so I got her this for our anniversary. She absolutely loves it. It came strung but without the bridge installed, but was really quite easy. A professional would surely have some complaints, but for a beginner or someone on a budget who wants an instrument to practice on, it perfectly fits the bill. It is well-made for what it is and the sound is great.

If you are looking for something to start out on I would recommend this. Specially if for a child, that way if they do not like or stop playing after a year you are out 100 bucks vs a few hundred.

The body of the cello itself is beautiful. I got the black one and I love it. There are no scratches or imperfections. It's very well assembled. I'm sure it's not the best quality wood, or shaped by any renowned instrument maker, but I feel like it's very nice for the price.

Great for my beginner child and sounds great too! The pegs also stay put, which is something that I always struggle with for cheaper violins. Love it.

An unbelievably good violin and package for the price. If you're unsure, as I was, of whether your child will devote the time and effort into learning violin, there's no better way to find out without risking a ton of money. This is more than adequate in my opinion.

This violin is a VERY good beginner instrument. I'm a Junior in highschool & i am trying to learn all of the orchestral instruments - i know the bass, (i am a bassist), the cello, i'm working on learning the violin. I wanted somethinf cheaper to learn on - and this was the absolute right choice.

My 16 year old already plays all the instruments in woodwind so he decided to learn Cello. Being as this is not his main instrument, or even one of his top 5, I just wanted something for him to learn on. I was not expecting much for the price I paid, but I very impressed. It is an amazing violin for beginners. The only thing that is annoying is that you have to tune it and you have to use a lot of rosin to start off to start playing your first note.
