Very beautiful cello. I had the bridge carved and adjusted at a local music store and I also purchased different strings that were of better quality. It has a great sound that resonates very well.

Got this cello for my wife for Christmas, and she loves it. It sounds good for a starter cello, and looks good as well. Black Friday deal and we received incredible value for our money. I had a local shop set it up properly for $40. Very happy with the purchase and would definitely recommend as a starter cello.

I am giving this 5 stars because for a starter cello it is better than I expected it to be. The strings it came with are not high quality by any means but they are good even to start with. It took about 5 days for the strings to stretch and the whole instrument to settle so it would stay in tune. I used peg dope on the pegs and oiled the fine tuners like I would do to the violins. Very dissapointed. Ordered violin for my Grandaughter as a Christmas present. Was about to wrap it up, and decided to open it before I wrapped it. The violin does not have a bridge and it's not strung up.how do I give her this as a present?!

Update...violin had the bridge afterall. Didn't realize that the bridge was wrapped in paper under the tail piece. One of the strings easily popped after trying to tune the instrument. Will need new quality strings for this violin.

Really impressed by this cello. Absolutely great price for an entry level instrument. You can learn cello basics without breaking the bank. I am an experienced musician (35 years, with 30 on guitar) and an amateur luthier. I've also wanted to lean the cello but could never rationalize the purchase price until I found Glarry Music. Upon opening the box the violin case was completely covered in mildew inside the case everything seemed fine I rosined the bow and was able to play for about 2 days and then the frog broke in half on the bow overall I'm happy to have gotten to play for the time that I did but sad the case was gross and the frog broke on me

After a quick setup and rosining of the bow I tested out the sound, and it's really not a bad sounding instrument. It was a little persnickety to tune, but as long as you get it close to the note the microtuners did their job adequately. I don't see a beginner violinist having a hard time playing this so long as you have someone who knows what they are doing set it up. It's no Stradivarius, but it will get the job done and look pretty doggone cool doing it.

I'm a newbie!!! Still not sure how to tune it. Couldn't get a sound from the string after applying the rosin to the bow. Seems like a nice beginner violin though, lol! Looks great too! I'm sure once I do some more research and attempt to FIDDLE (pun intended) with it more my daughter and I will love it.

This is the first cello I've ever purchased and I am very happy with it. My only complaint is that the tuners like to slip a little but I just got some peg dope and it fixed the issue. Fast shipping as well would recommend!

Recorded my package almost 2 months ago, give it take. The items I was so destroyed we were surprised it even made it there. Violin was immediately wrapped for Christmas- where it waited for its new owner. Grandson opened it than realized one half was crushed and damaged. It shipped to Wyoming. I purchased this violin as a Christmas gift for my dad and it was delivered with a hole in the side. See the photo. I contacted Glarry with the attached photo and asked for a replacement with free shipping. They offered a $20 refund. I again asked for a replacement with free shipping. I have not heard back yet. I'll supplement if and when I do.

This is a great student instrument if you're looking for a quality cheap option for beginning cello. I took it to my local orchestra store and they even commented on the quality for an online purchase. Tuning pegs will sometimes come loose at the beginning while tuning but this is completely normal, just push them in a little. You will need a different rosin as the one that comes with it is honestly unusable. I bought a new one for three bucks so not a big deal. The storage bag is good if you do ...
