I bought it, the amp is ok for the money but trust me only works for the bass. The guitar came in prepackaged/ wrapped clean condition and plays nicely. Uhh, i might've tuned the volume knob a little hard and it broke but i guess ill take the blame.

Went to tune the guitar, first string was tuned to G, went to tune to E and it was either too loose or too tight, wound up having the string break. So now I have to order new strings and restring it. Also found the pick ups are extremely loose. The seller worked with me, provided compensation for the issues I had. Now that I've replaced the strings and adjusted the pickups and standoffs it's working well.

After all the glowing reviews and impressive youtube videos, I decided to give this a try. I wasn't expecting much for $90, but this was nothing like the basses I saw on youtube. The strings were unplayable. They felt like rat-tail files. The mounting holes for the pickup screws were too far apart, so the assembler put the screws in at an angle. The cable and kit bag is trash. HOWEVER.... everything on the bass that is wood is fantastic! While everything is pretty OKAY otherwise, I still switched out the nut, tuners, bridge, PICKUPS, strings and all the wiring and electronics and the knobs just so I could. I received my guitar today but no AMP. Total package weight was 9.4 pounds. I received the guitar, guitar cover and cord. I did not receive the AMP that was supposed to be with it. So how can I play the guitar without the AMP? I can not get ahold of customer service. I am very upset. So I have no idea if the guitar was worth the money I spent or not.

I am New to Bass playing, and my Jazz Bass Guitar in the sunburst Color is amazing the curves the fit the finish is just amazing. The amp, and the bag is all a beginner needs to learn how to jam, the controls on both the amp and Guitar work great the Dee bass sound is incredible. For one who never played a Bass Guitar before. Unbelievable value.The bass arrived quickly and in perfect condition. I did not see the tuner or tools, but I have them from previous purchases so that is not a huge deal. After tuning, found the action high but the relief good for now and there was NO fret buzz. The bass itself is great. The included strap broke within 5 minutes, the faux leather is very weak. Included strings weren't that great but he's 4 so I don't wanna buy him top of the line strings anyway. The tuning knobs were slightly loose but that was an easy fix. Everything else was fine, we got it in plain wood so we could decorate it and it's now painted and covered with dinosaur stickers:)

Glarry GIB VI 6 String Bass The Bass looks Awesome! Slightly disappointed that this Bass did not have the upgrades that the GIZ had. NO padded gig bag with Glarry logo, or the nice heavy metal ended instrument cable, instead we're back to the unpadded gig bag and .99 cent Radio Shack cable. Glarry, You should include the upgraded bag and cable for all your guitars, even if it raises the price $15-20, it's worth it. The VI played OK right out of the box but will benefit greatly from a basic setup ... Glarry GIB VI 6 String Bass The Bass looks Awesome! Slightly disappointed that this Bass did not have the upgrades that the GIZ had. NO padded gig bag with Glarry logo, or the nice heavy metal ended instrument cable, instead we're back to the unpadded gig bag and .99 cent Radio Shack cable. Glarry, You should include the upgraded bag and cable for all your guitars, even if it raises the price $15-20, it's worth it. The VI played OK right out of the box but will benefit greatly from a basic setup. The neck needed minor adjustment to the truss rods, yes, I said rods, there are two, after the Bass climatized to my local environment. The string action was a little high at both the nut and bridge, and I found it needed a neck shim. The shim ( sliver of a business card) and setting the action it took about 10 minutes to adjust to my taste. Intonation was near spot on, and again took 10 minutes to set. I needed to adjust the pickup height to raise them for better response. and found that the pickup cavities were a bit of a tight fit, adding 1-2mm to the size of the route in the CNC program would solve this issue on future runs. I decided to add shielding to the electronics cavity to stop some noise I was getting from my lighting. For purely cosmetic reasons, I switched out the hardware for black. The bridge is exactly the same model, and the tuners and knobs are also the same type, just in black. The Neon green strings, well, that's my way of adding bling! But they sound good too! After setup, the GIB VI plays and sounds great, is well balanced, not super heavy, and a great choice for someone wanting to try a 6 string bass. Note: The GIB VI does not fit the Glarry rectangle Bass Case unless you detune the upper tuners inline with the headstock, as the case is not deep enough. Glarry's other Bass case is deeper, but I haven't tried one to see if it fits. The Fender gig bag I mentioned in an earlier post doesn't quite fit either, the VI is a bit too wide at the upper horn, but the Gator bag I bought for my V fits the VI perfectly!

I bought this bass as a mod platform. I wasn't expecting much, but did expect more than what I received. Out of the box, the neck was decent, no issues. Frets were good with no sprout or sharp edges. Action is a bit high and intonation completely out on all four strings out of the box. Tuning machines are bas ... A bit about me first. I bought this bass as a mod platform. I wasn't expecting much, but did expect more than what I received. Out of the box, the neck was decent, no issues. Frets were good with no sprout or sharp edges. Action is a bit high and intonation completely out on all four strings out of the box. Tuning machines are basic but solid. Body is very beautiful from the front, but has an odd pattern in the wood grain on the back. Went to plug it in and the jack immediately fell inside the body cavity. Nice! Started undoing pickguard screws and found at least half of them already stripped and had to just pull them out with pliers. Pickguard screw at end of pickguard by jack is a full inch long...not a pickguard screw, most likely a bridge screw. Wondering if one of my bridge screws is a pickguard screw. When I begin mods, I will find out. Pickup hole in pickguard is in the wrong place, shifted too far to the treble side. This results in at least a 50% drop in volume on the E string compared to other strings. Has a bit of neck dive, not a lot, but some. Had to tighten the strap buttons to test that as both were very loose out of the box. The gig bag is nothing but a dust cover. No protection. The strap is hardly deserving of the name. Didn't even try the cheap cable. Overall, as a mod platform, it is probably fine for what I am going to be doing with it...that remains to be seen. As an instrument to play right out of the box? I'm not sure I could recommend it. Not with the issues mine had. UPDATE: I was contacted by Glarry management concerning my review. In the interest of making things right with me, they offered me a partial refund. I felt that was incredibly generous and an amazing level of customer service. I didn't anticipate that, and certainly didn't expect that for a bass that cost me $110. Customer service is top notch!!

The Glarry GIB Bass Guitar Full Size 6 String HH Pickup in Sunset finish is a great sounding bass. I was really surprised by how good it sounds and the different sounds I could get out of it. Its decent for the price, the neck has no oil in the wood. The B string was already falling apart and does not resonate well. Frets are set nicely, build is good. Not playable out of the box at all. Need to finish doing a set up but that is to be expected for a $150 bass.
