The guitar was delivered in a timely fashion. It appears to be on pristine shape. I do not like the strings, they are super sharp. I am having the guitar setup bu a professional guitar tech. I like the way it looks. I like the way it feels in my hands. I bought this guitar because i wanted a lightweight telecaster. It feels great. My GST arrived all in good order. I was missing the gig bag but did not need it anyway. Loved the finish, light weight and neck on this guitar. I agree with all the good reviews on Youtube (disagree with the couple of bad reviews). The nut was cut shallow making it difficult to get the guitar in tune with open chords on the first three frets. This can be corrected easily. Truss rod and intonation were easy to set. Guitar is beautiful. I purchased it for my son for Xmas. He loves skeletons and skulls. However I found that the frets are each serrated and were never polished plus fret sprout. The other problem is that the shape of the whammy bar is incorrect and curved wrong. A replacement would be appreciated.

Great at the price. Out of the box string action was really high and the pickups were almost level with the pickguard, so expect a fair amount of set-up work. I am a complete novice at setting up guitars, but after a few youtube videos and some trial and error it's set-up nicely.

It's a beginner level guitar. It needed a truss rod tweak. New strings and a saddle height adjustment. It is now completely playable. It has one of the nicest necks I have ever seen on a guitar in my 25 years around guitars. There are no sharp fret ends and the neck is rolled very nicely. Great fret size and a joy to play. I REALLY like this fully-functioning Strat copy - especially for $64. I've been playing since 1976 and owned 4 Strats previously. FIRST IMPRESSION: String action was very high, pick guard was filthy (looked like someone handled it with glue on their fingers), volume POT was scratchy (cut in and out). I knew I could adjust the action myself, I later figured out the 'filthy' looking pick guard was actually protective clear-sheet cover (duh) and resolved pot noise with knob-spray. I had to raise the bridges on the upper strings to remove the buzzing frets, and also lengthen the lower strings to tune the octave. We're good to go now. Tone is good. Low distortion pickups and wide tone control. I especially like the maple neck. Everyone who has reviewed the instrument, each described a different problem. But for under $70 and a little setup time you can't beat the Glarry.

Decent guitar is almost an exact copy of an 60s/70s Stratocaster. Beautiful finish is fairly soft and scratches easily, but it may not be completely cured. Strings are really awful - poor action and tone but a set of Ernie Ball Hybrids fixed noth issues. Tone is surprisingly good through all 3 pickups. I've been teaching myself guitar since 4 June 2019, and I've wanted a guitar that I could feel free to tear apart. My main guitar is too nice to subject to my rank beginner luthiery. It's also made from a heavy plank of mahogany, and I've wanted something that's physically lighter and more comfortable for long practice sessions. After I got interested in basswood because of its lightness, I found the Glarry GST3 online. At the time it was under $60 postpaid, and the reviews on YouTube weren't ... I've been teaching myself guitar since 4 June 2019, and I've wanted a guitar that I could feel free to tear apart. My main guitar is too nice to subject to my rank beginner luthiery. It's also made from a heavy plank of mahogany, and I've wanted something that's physically lighter and more comfortable for long practice sessions. After I got interested in basswood because of its lightness, I found the Glarry GST3 online. At the time it was under $60 postpaid, and the reviews on YouTube weren't half bad. At that price, I couldn't resist and bought one. It was also cheap enough that I could feel free to experiment if the urge to modify it struck. The finish on the GST3 is pretty good. There are a few scratches in the pick guard. You can see some scuff marks in the body sanding. Overall, it looks good. For sixty bucks, I was prepared to accept anything that looked better than a rotten plank. If there is finish on the neck, it is very light. I like that, for now at least. Once my hand begins to sweat, it has a tendency to stick to the glossy finish on the neck of my other guitar. This tendency is much less on the Glarry. The neck is somewhat thicker, as in the distance between the fingerboard and the back of the neck, than on my other guitar. In fact, I'd say that the GST3's neck positively chunky. This is neither good nor bad, just a preference. After using both guitars for a while, I believe I like the thinner neck better, but others will differ. The hardware appears to be pot metal. For the price, I didn't expect anything else. It serves well enough. The frets are nicely rounded over. There is nothing sticking up to cut your hand. I checked for high spots with the edge of a credit card, and I found nothing obvious. The fingerboard is said to be rosewood. I wonder if it is real rosewood or engineered "rosewood." It arrived desiccated, and it soaked up a whole bunch of the F-One oil I applied to it. It looks much better now, but it's rougher to the fingers than the rosewood on my other guitar. Keep in mind that the other guitar cost several times the price of the GST3. Out of the box, the action is set high. I learned something adjusting it. I've also played with the truss rod and the intonation. It was educational. When I plug it into my little practice amp, a Peavey Rage 158, it sounds OK to me, but note that I lack educated ears. In any case, the GST3 is good enough to practice with. The biggest problem with the guitar that I've noticed so far is the tuning keys that came with it. They were less than good. They had a tremendous amount of backlash, and they didn't at all turn smoothly. Tuning up was a real chore, so I replaced them and the plastic nut with much higher quality parts. In doing so, I slightly more than doubled the cost of the guitar, but it is now a much better instrument and still inexpensive. This leads me to believe, in my inexpert opinion, that one of the uses for this guitar is as a project guitar. The assembled guitar is cheaper than a lot of kit guitars -- so cheap that if you accidentally destroy it, you won't feel broken up -- and it's never going to be a collector's item. You can modify it as much as you want. In short, the guitar is a tremendous value. I wanted something that is lighter to put in long practice sessions with and that I feel free to take apart and fiddle with. It completely serves both of those functions.

Aesthetically a beautiful guitar! Needed some set-up, including a shim in the neck and had a couple of high frets. I did those myself and it plays and sounds really well now. I don't consider these as beginner guitars because of the things I had to do. Better as kit, or a project guitar which I did on one other one I bought. Great for the price!

I gave this a 4 star only because there was a small hole in the body where the neck meets the body pocket, it did not cause any playing problems but IMO Quality Control should have caught this. The neck angle was off on mine, had to shim the neck to improve action, pickups are weak but for the cost of the guitar I cannot complain. I have purchased several acoustic and electric guitars from Glarry Music. They are a new company with lower priced instruments. I found the GST to be a reliable instrument after action set up and new Ernie Ball strings. My preferred guitar is the Stratocaster so this one was close enough to a Squier at half the price.
