If you're curious about the violin, and you've never played before then go ahead and buy this thing. If you don't like it after a few months then at least you saved yourself a few hundred dollars, but if you do like it then you'll appreciate the difference in sound and quality when you get something a little better.

Have been wanting a violin since I was 8 years old but we couldn't afford the instrument or lessons. I researched violins and this was one that came recommended more than once for beginners on a budget. It looks good. Came with the case, bow, strings booklet, rosin tuner, etc. I would recommend buying a different rosin. The one the came with it I used but couldn't get a good sound out of the violin til I bought a better one and the difference is amazing.

Great quality for the price! It stays in tune and has great sound. When it arrives it takes a little set up. You have to put on the bridge and tighten the strings. I am very happy with the quality.

So far, so good - the tone is very nice - it comes with a great case and bow. Don't know if we have a virtuoso yet, but more than one grandchild is showing an interest!

It is very lightweight. I expected it to be heavier and was very surprised to see how lightweight it really is. My child can definitely hold it with ease. I think is a great beginner's violin.

Bought for my 10 yr old to see if she would actually like it, before investing a ton of money. It is of good quality, and certainly was worth the investment. Would definitely encourage someone to purchase it for a beginner.

The black is gorgeous. The tuner that came with it was difficult to use, but I downloaded a tuner app and that worked great.

Thrilled with this purchase and Glarry service! I had ordered another inexpensive violin to learn to play fiddle music (at age 71), but after watching 'peak fiddler' on YouTube open, set up and play a Glarry violin, I returned it and looked up Glarry. The video was from 2 years ago, but Glarry still includes all the accessories mentioned and the violin is beautiful. I'm going to be happy to find out what I can do with this instrument.

I purchased this beautiful violin as a Birthday Gift for a wonderful Sister. She loves it! So far she can tune it by herself, play about 10 songs and she has not had it for more than 2 months. I was so pleased that I bought two more. The extra set of strings is assets to a beginner. Thank you! Highly Recommend.

This is the cutest violin, I got this form my nephew since he is really into instruments especially violins. He absolutely love it ! The quality is good and it's so beautiful. I didn't know that there was a process to get the violin started but it was super Interesting. I appreciate the fact that it came with all the extra accessories.

Awesome. But I must say plz take it to a music store and have it professionally tuned and in order for it to keep intune you must continue to practice on it.

It has what you need to start your child out. I bought this because my son showed interest. It's a decent starter and to not break the bank while figuring out how serious your child is. I don't regret this purchase at all!

I bought this as a learner. I had to get someone who knew a bit about it to help me rosin the bow and tune the first time. It was a great price for a beginner instrument to learn on. Definitely worth the money if you want to try it out. The extras were fabulous.

I absolutely love this violin kit. When it came nothing was out of place or broken, and all I had to do was tune the strings and rosin the bow. At first it was hard to tune, but the more I did it the easier it was (this has more to do with how you tune it than the actual violin itself). The bow is excellent quality, and it sounds great. The only thing that wasn't perfect were the strings, but I expected that. I replaced the strings with much higher quality ones, but other than that, for a $60 vi ...
