I can't give a meaningful review about the violin itself, since it was a gift for my granddaughter. She's 8 years old, and like the rest of my family, has no experience with stringed instruments. We all loved that the violin is "real" and its cost was in the same range as some toy violins. Using directions provided in the case and through online videos, we were able to coax some sounds out of the instrument. It was enough to inspire my granddaughter to want to learn more, once in-person lessons are again a possibility. That's all I hoped for in making this purchase, so I'm happy I highly recommend this company.

My violin is not a 5 star violin; it is, in fact, the least expensive violin i could find. Honestly, i was shocked that it wasn't a scam when it showed up 5 days later. Then while showing it to a music expert they showed me how it was better than a "really cheap $70 violin" because the peg holes were somewhat tapered where they should be and the bridge was shaped to match the contour of the instrument; something that i shouldn't expect from one under $100. Then while showing it to a music expert they showed me how it was better than a "really cheap $70 violin" because the peg holes were somewhat tapered where they should be and the bridge was shaped to match the contour of the instrument; something that i shouldn't expect from one under $100. The fact that i could make sound with it goes against what I've discovered is the typical first experience. I do suggest watching a 5 minute tutorial before or even during unwrapping; there are several to choose from on YouTube. I do have suggestions and questions but i already feel as if this company cares about delivering a better than expected product and doing right by their customers which is refreshing and why i stand by my 5 star rating.

For the price this cannot be beat. Sound is not bad at all. I let it rest at home temperature for a day or two before attempting to set the bridge or tune. I also loosened the strings slightly before setting the bridge and allowed strings to rest before small tightenings. No trouble with broken strings. I forgot how much rosin a new bow needs (a ton) to make clear sound. I ended up using darker rosin I had on hand to get a fuller sound (the light rosin provided is very lightweight). As expected, ...

As expected, it fell out of tune almost immediately, but through lots of retuning and over the course of a practice session we were beginning to see the tuning hold longer. I am confident that as the strings acclimate to their stretch they will hold tune well. Strings are adequate.

I purchased the violin as a Christmas gift for my 6 year old granddaughter. I did look at it and it appeared fine also it was received very quickly. So far so good ☺️

For the price its a very nice instrument. I love it so much! It did come with a string that was starting to unravel but, also came with spare strings, so very easy fix! It does take a while for it to stay in tune, but that comes with every new instrument no matter what you buy. Overall I would highly recommend this instrument, its wonderfully for a beginner violinist such as my self.

I bought this for my adult daughter and she loves it. Had to watch a Youtube to figure out how to set it up, where to place the bridge, etc. It's unbelievable how much you get for such a small price. I was so happy with this that I bought another for my son.

This violin is wonderful. I have played since I was a child always renting and never owning. Thanks to your company I now own a beautiful violin that sounds amazing and my church agrees that after the right tuning its is perfect. The violin was a really nice violin for the money. I would definitely purchase again. The only negative, which was not that bad is, the case had some mold inside. Not sure if it may have been stored in a damp place but the violin was not effected.

Beautiful and in Great shape and for the price. Relearning how to play the Violin again. In over 40 yrs. The rosin is old and hard. I had to buy new rosin.

Package arrived with everything as promised. You should take their recommendation of taking it to someone knowledgeable to get it setup correctly. Glarry customer service has been responsive and fair in supporting us. Our initial efforts to setup the instrument at home was less than successful, because we failed to spot that the strings were threaded backwards through the pegs. Violin teacher rectified this. The instrument can now hold a tuning. However, the fine tuners do not work and the ...

However, the fine tuners do not work and the teacher diagnosed it to be that the tailpiece is not fitted onto the instrument properly, so the fine tuners cannot affect the tuning as they should. Glarry resolved this with us in a satisfactory manner, and though it can only be tuned through the pegs, it can be played adequately for a beginner. Overall, I am happy with my purchase and would do it again. Please Note: 1. Likely need to buy a different shoulder rest. Could not get theirs to fit right. 2. Their customer service responds in the evenings typically. I was not able to locate a phone number to call them, so all support was done through email.
