Once we resined the bow sufficiently, she was able to produce sound. The violin came with a bow, case, resin, instructions, and pitch pipe for tuning. Great deal. Shipping was a little slow, but it came in time for Christmas.

I love the fact that Glarry provides a full bundle of a product. I don't have to add and look for individual items for my cart, one click and its done. The shipping was fast. The product overall is great but I do have a couple of issues. The pegs do not hold the position, keeps getting loose while tuning. The bridge keeps falling off due to a lack of carves. Overall good product for the price.

The violin was decent but the bow is horrible and the shoulder rest is non-adjustable. I tried to contact you guys last week but I have heard nothing from you guys concerning this issue. The bow will not loosen or tighten and as i stated earlier the shoulder rest is non adjustable and doesnt fit my violin.

Price-wise neither of them can be beat. This is a budget violin so you won't be playing concerts as soon as it arrives, but it will introduce a beginner to the basics at a VERY low entry price, and from there you can see if it's something you want to continue. It does require some set up before it is playable--but so will ANY budget violin. I recommend you watch youtube videos to learn the right way to set it up. They will show you how to set the bridge, tune the strings and rosin the bow. Setting the bridge is very important, so pay extra attention to that. It's not hard, just an important detail.Tuning is difficult the first time because the pegs tend to slip--however I learned this is a common issue for many violins, and certainly for any budget violin, so I assure you your violin is not defective. Some inward pressure when turning the pegs should work just fine, it did for me. Rosin on the pegs is another possible remedy. The fine tuners work well for keeping in tune--check and fine tune each time before you play, I recommend a phone app. All in all, with a little setup effort this is a great violin for a pure beginner, for less than the cost of 2 months of a student rental from a retailer. Shipping was fast, the case is durable, the violin looks good, and all accessories required for play are included. I'm very satisfied with my purchase and I highly recommend this product for anyone remotely interested in learning to play the violin.

I am absolutely in love with this violin. I bought it for a Christmas present for my goddaughter, I know she will love it. Honestly these sets are perfect beginners. The violin is so beautiful and the bow is perfect. The case feels a bit cheap but it's not about the case. But all together you can't bet the price, I will be ordering more. I did not purchase the 1/8 size. I purchased a full sized 4/4 violin. I am overwhelmed by the quality of this little fiddle. Made of solid wood, the fiddle has a good sound and is easy to play. I had to do a little work on the bridge which was higher than I prefer but that was no big deal. The tailpiece was missing the finetuner for the E string. I could not find it in the case so I swapped the tailpiece for another I had with all four tuners. This changed the sound slightly which I did not care ...

For $34 I got the instrument, a case, a bow, a pitch pipe, rosin cake, extra set of strings, and a shoulder rest. I am just more than pleased. I like this fiddle more than some of my more expensive ones. You might think I am a shill writing this outstanding review, but I assure you, I am not. I would recommend this instrument to anyone interested in trying to play the violin. It's an incredible value for the money. I am seriously considering buying another.
