I was surprised at how good it is for the price. 1 small blem in the finish. No sprout in the frets. Action was high, so I lowered the saddles and tuned it up. The amp isn't bad bad considering the cost. clean and dirty channels. A great rockin package.

I have to buy nut blanks and completely remake the nuts for these guitars. The low e and high e are cut in a way the strings will not stay on fretboard when trying to play. I build and repair guitars. I purchased this guitar to mod it it out. Once I shape and finnish the necks, replace the pickups, and make new nuts I will review the product. To be quite honest, I ordered two of the GST guitars. These are my 14th and 15th instruments from this company. By far, the best I received yet quality wise. The necks are greatly improved (smaller). The strings are better. I did not measure, but I believe the e string may be .009. However, of all the instruments I received before, none had damage. Let me start by saying I think it was a real value for the $75 I paid for it. That said it was not perfect it did need to set up, and add new strings to get a good sound and playable. But I was able to do it myself following online directions and now I'm actually very happy with it. There is a crack in just the finish. I suspect it's more cold-weather related though as the day I got it had 30 below windchill and 15 below temperature.Overall I am satisfied with it as others have said it could use ...

So first of all, price is really very good. I think most people who are buying these are people who want to practice setups or fretwork etc and for that it's great. I wouldn't really recommend for a beginner unless they know someone who can get it playable for them. There's very obviously a couple issues with my instrument right out of the box. I was pleased with this guitar, unlike the acoustic i ordered a month or so ago, it needed a few minor adjustments and a change in strings. the biggest issue i see is in the bridge. the strings feed thru right under the springs and actually touch them. It hasn't caused any breaks yet, time will tell. the bridge pickup has a hum, im thinking it might be a bad ground, the neck pickup sounds ok, but overpowers the bridge, and when in the middle position it sounds muddy . the frets need dressing a ...

Got the guitar and decided to black it out. New black hardware all around. Back of neck was pretty rough so a little sanding and it was good to go. Truss rod adjustment to straighten the neck a little bit and set string height and intonation and it plays great. Really like the sound from the neck pickup but the bridge is a little harsh. Original tuners were not great but I've seen worse. Very happy with it now.

Pretty well the same as my other review except for a couple issues. The nut needs replaced because after intonation was perfect, the first fret was very sharp, and the next two frets were not quite as sharp. By the fourth fret it was pretty well normal the rest of the way up the neck. Also two of the bridge saddle stripped, with no strings pressure, tuned way down while setting the action. The single coil pups don't sound very good, not as good as the humbuckers on my other review. But for a few ...

Bought for one of my brothers half my age, he loves it. I set it up for him and there were a couple minor things I could leave a negative comment on. Restringing was a little clunky, just cause the saddles were kinda all over the place trying to get through. Also when strummed there was a reverberating echo from the springs in the back, so I put in some of the flimsy packing foam. Otherwise, I thought it was a pretty good value and my four brothers all have a guitar too now.

The guitar it's self is really pretty color blue. No sign of fret sprouting. The guitar would not stay in tune with the strings that come on the guitar, sorry Glarry the strings are junk. However once I put a set of 9 or 9.5 strings on it and locked the strings ( YouTube how to lock your guitar strings) took a pencil and lubricates the string trees , nut and the saddles it stays in tune longer. Fantastic guitar for the price! Needs setting up though. To start with a positive, the body was immaculate and the neck was perfectly straight. The guitar worked right away and did not have any electrical issues. As to expect from the price, I needed to dress the frets and file the nut slots. At first, I could not fit the wammy bar. Bang for buck is outstanding! It's not gonna compare to a $2000+ bespoke guitar, but I'm genuinely impressed with this. Highly recommended for anyone that's just getting started or just wants something they can entertain themselves with. The fret ends did need a very light touch up with a sanding pad and some steel wool to remove some sharp edges and take care of some light dirt and rust (it did have to cross the Pacific, after all), but nothing major. Black Friday discount was great on top of already great price for what you get. The guitar is beautiful, however this guitar (my 4th Glarry) has bad fret sprout and the 6th string buzzes. This should help me learn how to do guitar set ups.
