Overall buying this bass was a great experience. The price is very reasonable and it arrived exactly one week after I ordered it. When it arrived the box was damaged near the middle of the neck. I was worried the bass would also be damaged. Luckily it was not, I credit the styrofoam that the bass was packaged in. I encourage Glarry to ship all their instruments this way. I'm gonna give my full honesty. Ive had it one week and played with it a few times. I was skeptical at 1st but said "hey i need a cheap bass just to play with from time to time" (my focus in the last fee months has been guitar). I had a 5 string I got rid of to reinvest into guitar. While my IBANEZ is being fixed (anything with batteries in is bound to go wrong, right ?) I bought this as a cheap fill in for some home recording, not expecting much. A little light in weight and the fat neck (which Fenders have, don't they ?) took a little getting used to compared to the IBANEZ but the performance is far better than I expected and, although the strings are new, that crisp sound, same volume on every string, wow ! I can't play slap but I could almost learn with this beauty

Cant fault it or the service. Only 2 or 3 days from ordering to delivery. I don't know how they make them for the price and free delivery. I'm a guitarist who knows a bit about guitar quality and wanted a cheap bass for home recording. The bass is very good for my purposes, no sharp fret ends, straight neck, good action and intonation. Looks good too. Well done.

Came in unplayable, with no sound whatsoever! Had to take apart the entire bass to replace parts and re-solder the electronics just to get a sound out of it, DO NOT RECOMMEND FOR ANYONE NEW TO FIXING BASS GUITARS!

Plays well, sounds good. Gig bag is not padded. It's good as a dust cover. Body is very light so head dive is an issue. Will need to get a strap that has better grip on my clothes to keep it from sliding. Would buy again.

The bridge and the nut weren't measured correctly causing the strings to off on the neck. It also came chipped at the input. Even with these issues and the price, I repaired it and it plays fine.

Bass, that it is lighter and cheaper than ones in music store. Music stores expect you to know how to play already, but if you don't they will give expensive lessons to get you started, which they start to push you into then before you know which one you like they insist on something they like, want to put you on payments plus a discount for music lessons for the months it takes to pay off guitar.

For the price ..this instrument is great, I read other reviews where others had to do some work on it to get it sounding good but this one was perfect! Bass arrived on time 1 week after ordering. Safely packaged with no damage. Looks and sounds amazing. The fret bars are tearing up my fingers because they are so high and need to be filed down and sanded I guess. I've never had this problem but this is also my first bass under $700

I'm a veteran bassist with countless performances and recordings to my credit. I've owned fender, gibson, ibanez, Warrick, etc, but my 3 Glarrys are amazing. So much bass for so little money. This recent 5 string jazz bass will be going into the recording studio with me in February. Once I set them up my way, they get "gigged" immediately. Not a bad instrument to start the bass hobby. It plays decent. This one came on time before Christmas. I noticed a few bad things: 1. Some of the screws came loose and not screwed in all the way 2. The cord that comes with it broke after a few sessions, it made static noises and very irritating. 3. Just received my GJazz bass via FedEx which came sooner than originally estimated. I can't be more impressed with the guitar especially for the price! The action was rather high, but I easily lowered it. I'll adjust the truss rod in a few weeks once it acclimates which should bring it down to typical action height. Two of the pickup screws weren't all the way seated which was an easy fix. The neck appears to be unfinished and a tad rough for my taste . . . 600 grit sanding did the trick. N ...

To be honest I didn't have crazy high expectations, and the actual sound of the bass is better than what I had expected for the price. I'm giving this a 1 star review because out of the box the fret ends are so sharp on both sides of the neck that's it's like a cheese grater for your hands. I'm going to have to get the proper tools and fix it myself or pay someone to do it which will probably cost more than the bass itself. Bought for one of my brothers half my age, he loves it. I set it up for him and it seemed pretty sweet, however I'm not too familiar with bass guitars even though setup is relatively similar to electric. The only thing that really stuck out to me is that the tuning machines seem a little weird. Otherwise, I thought it was a good value, and my four brothers all have a guitar too now
