I got this guitar in Sep 2021 and I have changed strings. This week I finally did a set up on it. I also Now it really ROCKS !! I have a Gibson Les Paul and this is nearly as much fun ! I also have an Epiphone SG Special and I think THIS is on the same level as that as far as Sound and Playability. Plays well right out of the box, but after a basic set up, including setting the action, check intonation, condition the fretboard, polish the frets, and a fresh set of strings, and this becomes a real players guitar. The semi hollow design even sounds good unplugged if you're just kickin' it back on the couch. Tuners do their job and hold tune very well, but if your a extreme bender, a set of locking tuners would be a good add on. The amp is pretty good for a starter kit to practice with at home. An overdrive circuit, volume and gain controls as well as treble and bass levels allow me to tailor the sound to my liking. The added accessories, cover, strap, cable and pick are basic but do their job. if I could suggest one improvement it would be the gig bag, add a few dollars to the price and upgrade to a padded bag.

I purchased this guitar back on Sept. 2020. I had my tech guy set it up for me and it played good. although the high E string kept coming out of the saddle and hanging over the fretboard. Very frustrating. So I decided to Mod it. I bought new roller saddles and roller T guides and a new nut and tuning keys. And started to do it myself before quickly realizing that it was beyond my skill set so I had my guitar tech guy do it for me and I also sanded off the head stock and stained it to kind of ma ...

First I want to say that the finish on the Burlywood just fantastic. However when I received the guitar I found that the neck was off center to the right and the high E string at the 15th fret was almost off the neck. I contacted Glarry and they did respond to a possible fix. That did not work. They then suggested I take it to a Luthier and they would pay up to the cost of the guitar. I found a video that shows how to straighten the neck easily and it worked. While I was tuning the strings I als ...

Actually very pleased for the money on these, they arrived and are very light wieght,much lighter than my gold top gretch and playable out of the box, sound good but both with a personality of their own, I own many higher end guitars, and find these to be a fav go to anyway, also bought a 5 string bass, and black laquor tele, that havent arrived yet, Thanks glarry your on to something here.keep it cost affective for those new comers, they will one day make you proud also.A.J.Holland, Texas.

The ONLY reason this didn't get 5/5 stars is because it had a TINY imperfection in the paint, an almost literal fingernail shaving missed spot that was finished over with the clear coating. There were some spots on the back of the neck that looked unfinished, and it needed some good tweaks to get the action and intonation right, but that was only disappointing because the Glarry Telecaster that I bought was so perfect right out of the box. Good guitar. Sounds good. Totally in love with the color once I saw it in person. The pickup combination is great for different sounds. Now what is preventing me from a total 5 stars? Minor finish scuffs here and there but not a total deal breaker by any means. And the total downfall is the neck, I don't know what I was expecting maybe a thin neck but it's my first telecaster style guitar so maybe my expectation are not plausible. Got this Father's Day!! • Set up right out the box. • Sounds great unplugged. • Neck smooth as silk. • Humbucker sounds soft n warm as butter. My friends with Fenders say it's as good as a regular Tele!! VERY PLEASED, and surprised how well this instrument plays.

Hello Glarry - the guitar arrived a few days early - thank you for the prompt service. It is in wonderful condition, I love the red wine color. It plays well, as-received, and did not require anything but tuning. This is my second Glarry guitar, both are the GTL Semi-Hollow F Hole with HS pickups. I plan to re-fit one of them with P90 pickups soon. Next I want to buy a GJazz II Electric Bass with the upgraded pickups and strings.

Much better than expected at this price point. It needed a setup, but what new guitar doesn't? One of the tuners was a bit stiff, but seems to be loosening up with use. Nice finish and wide range of tonality with this pickup arrangement. It had a small ding in the neck, but nothing serious.

Very Nice T Style Guitar Excellent Value. My Favorite Capo fit perfect on the neck. Tuners Saddles Truss Rod all adjusting works well. No problems tuning from standard to open G and back again. Overall great value. Body had a few finish "glitches" but nothing unexpected for a guitar in this price range. Very pleased to see frets were nicely trimmed and had no overhang. Pickups sound OK. I was surprised as to how little packing the guitar had but it arrived in OK condition. Very light, fine starter guitar or one to have around that you don't have to worry about as it's so inexpensive.

Upon initial inspection of the guitar when it arrived Friday, I found a large crack in the neck pocket. The guitar was shipped loosely packed in a flimsy single wedge shaped cardboard box. All the guitars I've received in the past have been double boxed to help protect from shipper handling. I immediately emailed Glarry to have the defective guitar returned and replaced. I haven't heard back at this point. Once this issue is resolved, I'll post an updated review.

This is my second yellow GTL semi-hollow, I returned the first for the same issue: the bridge is placed low and is mounted crooked. The first string is barely over the bridge pickup pole piece and the string through body holes are mostly covered by the bridge. It is easy to see how the bridge is rotated if you examine the distance between the top of the bridge plate and the bottom of the pickguard. In fact, the sound is so good it's hard to believe it's coming from a guitar in this price range ($119.99). Right out of the box, it has one of the better set-ups I've ever played and leaves me feeling like it's simply easier to play than guitars costing five times the price. I'm extremely happy with my purchase and have no reservations recommending Glarry guitars to others. I told a family member of my experience, and they've purchased two Glarry guitars on my recommendation. One was excellent right out of the box, and the other had some issues which my sister was able to fix on her own (she's fairly handy with tools). Glarry gets five-stars from me. I think they fully deserve it.

Glarry Customer Service was fantastic and refunded me a portion of the sale price. For many years I've been doing my own guitar setups, including fret dressing if needed. The Glarry GTL came playable right out of the box. The setup was suitable for a beginner, but not to my Specs. I lowered the action using a 12 to 15 degree fretboard radius, and intonated the strings. That was it. The Guitar plays beautifully now. No rough frets and no sharp, overhanging fret ends. The pickups are balanced - more so than my US Made Fender Telecaster with Lace Sensors installed! I love the light weight of the GTL. It's easy on this old body. Like I said, other than damage by UPS, this guitar is FLAWLESS. If you're thinking of buying one, by all means do it! What a great value. Thank you Glarry Music.

So it takes about a year for them to dry out and settle in. I left my GTL in a case with a light humidifier. Now, after a year the Neck Relief holds and the guitar stays in tune. I found the Neck Humbucker sounded very muddy with little high end response. The stock Humbucker measured 7956 Ohms. This is rather low for a Humbucker. B ...

UPDATE 2022/05/02 I've owned the GTL Semi-Hollow for over a year now. A year ago I just couldn't adjust the guitar. These guitars are not built using seasoned wood. So it takes about a year for them to dry out and settle in. I left my GTL in a case with a light humidifier. Now, after a year the Neck Relief holds and the guitar stays in tune. I found the Neck Humbucker sounded very muddy with little high end response. The stock Humbucker measured 7956 Ohms. This is rather low for a Humbucker. BTW, the stock Single-Coil, in the Bridge Position is a Ceramic Magnet pickup and measures 5733 Ohms. I replaced the Neck Humbucker with a Fender Humbucker from a Squier Bullet Mustang. I had them in my parts bin as I replaced the Mustang's stock pickups with P90s. The new Humbucker measured 9613 Ohms, and doesn't sport a metal cover. I also replaced the GTL's stock 250K Volume and Tone Controls with 500K Pots. And I replaced the stock 0.47mf Capacitor with a 0.22mf Capacitor. All these changes add up to increased punch and treble response from the Neck Humbucker Pickup. Finally, I applied three coats of Lemon Oil to the Neck and Fretboard. Wow! What a difference. Now the GTL not only plays well, it sounds great. Neck Pickup is rich and full toned. Bridge Pickup is bright as a Tele should be. Best of all, when Both Pickups are selected together the sound is just perfect. I enjoy playing my GTL better than playing my Vintage Fender MIJ Jerry Donahue Telecaster. MAJOR DAMAGE!!! Well, my guitar arrived today. --- I bought this for my daughter for Christmas. It arrived on the 29th. Not too upset about that because I ordered it on the 18th, knowing it could take up to 10 days for delivery. Well, being all excited when it arrived, when I saw the box, I was immediately concerned. When I opened it, my concerns came to reality. The body is crushed and it must be returned. Overall, the guitar looks good but I didn't do much more than open it, unpack it, ...

UPDATE - 1-15-21 Upon the arrival of the damaged guitar, I contacted Glarry customer service. The customer service manager I worked with, Manager Lin, was incredibly responsive and helpful! The guitar was replaced immediately! Because the guitar that I ordered was not in stock at the time, I was given the option to wait until it was in stock or the option of choosing another guitar that was in stock. Because it was a gift, I wanted to replace it as soon as I could and so I chose a different guitar from the Glarry inventory. The guitar was immediately put on order and I received it roughly 12 to 15 days later. All through this time, the service manager was in contact with me and was very helpful and responsive to my messages. As you know, these guitars are quite competitively priced but they are worth every penny and more! I've been playing guitar for nearly all of my life and I really enjoy the guitar I bought for my child. It's a fantastic beginner guitar and to be honest, I'm considering getting one for myself for fun! The classic question: Would I buy from Glarry again? Heck yes! The only problem I had during this entire transition was the worry about how the guitar would arrive. They are not packed very well and so I was "biting my nails" while waiting for the second guitar to arrive. it arrived in PERFECT condition! Thanks Glarry and thanks to a very responsive customer service department!
