When I bought this bass, I wasn't expecting too much due to the low price, but I was absolutely blown away. This bass sounds absolutely amazing and holds tune surprisingly well. I've only encountered 2 minor problems, one is that you can hear the strings hitting the fretboard when playing but I feel like I can fix that and on the D string if I pluck it there is a buzzing sound that resonates but it doesn't bother me very much. Outstanding value. Outside of needing to be tuned, it worked perfectly. The amp is great. The cord that came with it was not so good, but once I used my own cord, it sounded great! The bass is beautiful and stays in tune well. No rough edge on the neck. Everything was perfect outside of the included chord! Arrived very quickly! Great value for the money!

While I'm new to bass, I'm familiar with guitars and aspects of their quality. I will say, that I was skeptical of some of the reviews. However, after receiving the bass, I'm pleasantly surprised! The fret work is smooth with no sharp edges and the finish is great. The hardware has no play in it and everything is a shiny chrome. Arrived quickly however on of the pickups wasn't correctly seated and needed to be adjusted quite a bit. For a beginner bass, it's well made and I have been impressed with how well it holds tune. Slight buzzing around the 12th fret but should be able to file down the frets without much issue. I bought the bass for my 11 year old daughter, so the fact that it is very lightweight is a plus. For a bass guitar under $100, I think it's well worth the money.

Overall I was satisfied with this purchase. Everything worked well, and for the price my expectations were exceeded. The only problem I experienced was one of the pickups had fallen into the body of the bass. After further investigation I discovered that the glue holding the pickup to the outer casing had failed. This "P" bass is great for the price. It looks nice. It is not too heavy. I do not know about the durability yet since I just got it the other day. Problems? I have some slight buzzing on the "A" string around the third fret and the pick-up have no bite. The accessories are a joke, but hey, it was only $80!!!!!!!!!! The fix for me? I will need to resolder the electronics because there is a hum coming from the internal electronics. The bass was very easy to set up and only needed minor adjustments right out of the box. I am very pleased with the bass for this price. The fingerboard is not polished, the neck and head stock do weigh more than the body so it is not balanced, but that is easy to overcome. This is a fine guitar. There are many Fender copies out there, and I am sure many of them come from the same factory with different logos printed on the headstocks. That being said, this one arrived in fine shape, and yes you can tune it and play it right away. However, I strongly suggest that you take some time and set it up properly. It was wrapped and packaged perfectly. No marks anywhere. The only problem was the input jack was loose. But most guitars will have the same problem. Put a star washer in and problem fixed. The sound is very good considering the price. I plan on changing the pickups which should sound like my Fender Jazz Bass.

Seriously considered giving this 5 stars ONLY because of the price. For what I paid this is definitely a 5 star bass BUT its not perfect. The tuners feel gritty and may need to be replaced at some point. I even went as far as to lubricate the gears to see if that helps, something I rarely do to any musical instrument. The nut is plastic and feels like the slots could be cut deeper although it still plays well. Ive thought about doing that and get it closer to more of a Fender spec. but since it ...
