I received this bass on a Thursday and played it on Friday and Saturday night. With only a minor adjustment of the neck and bridge (to suit my playing style) I was simply amazed at the feel and sound of this instrument. It sounds and plays better than any Fender I've ever touched. I had 2 basses on stage that weekend. One was my $8500 Alembic and the other was my new Glarry bass. I must admit that the Alembic does have a more intense sound but the Glarry bass is just as comfortable to play and ...

I'm one of those "Reviewers" that only pipes up when I find something GOOD, or something BAD.... I'm pretty impressed with this bass.... I own Ibanez bases, Schecter Bases and one Fender Jazz.... I purchased THIS bass to try my hand at a 5 string figuring "OK, It;s JUST a training instrument" I paid $108 for it and figued if it didnt work out, it would give me something to smash on stage during a show.... VERY impressd with this right out of the box (Mind you, for the priece). Most importan ...

Just what I needed. Nice pickup crossover tone palette you can get between adjusting volume controls, but the best tone is both pickups at once: the hum is cancelled & the tone is deep, sweet, & smooth. Thinkin' about gettin' the 6-string sunset burst version to compliment my 5-string burlywood. Thumps & pops nicely as well

Overall the bass is pretty nice. It's put together well and plays great. The one (big) problem is the electronics are messed up. Each knob acts as a volume AND tone control which makes it really difficult to dial in a tone. I haven't looked in the cavity yet, but I figure they must all be wired together for this to be happening. I like the bass enough to keep it, but not enough to use it until I get the wiring fixed.

This thing is awesome.. I switch the strings up and took them off and and put a high c on there I had to adjust the neck a little bit because of the different strings but other than that man all good stays in tune

Nice bass, it is well made for my usage. Action is low which is ny preference and the strings that came with it are decent.

So 4 out of 5. My reason is because I had to adjust the neck and bridge to eliminate some ringing on a couple frets including 1sr fret F and low C. Other than that for the price, quality, sound, packaging, body and all is good. This also is good if you are wanting to try a 5 string bass without breaking the bank. Its not for everyone but yes I would buy this again. Considering the 5 string jazz down the road.

WOW! Heard this bass being played on a video and it sounded great! After conversation with the one playing at the time, found out he wasn't using any pedals or effects. Was still a bit skeptical, but purchased it anyway. Once again...WOW! The sound is EXCELLENT! Especially being passive. A few minor issues like pod noise, but that's an easy fix. Lightweight but durable. Neck is fast and smooth. Action is spot on. Will probably order another one just because!

After buying my first Glarry guitar in Sept. 2020 I decided to replace my 5 string Rogue bass that I had sold. So I bought this one from Glarry. I had it setup and new string put on it and it plays great! Amazing Quality too for the amount of money I gave for it. $128.48 I know China gets a lot of flack these days for all the shit they have put out like the C-virus but as far as the people go and the companies that are making cheap musical equipment and instruments...I can complain. This bass in ...

Recently picked up the Brown one, while it was on Closeout. I was super surprised to find it a really Nice looking Stain! The pics made it look an Ugly Brown Paint. Anyway,.. I am a Reseller, and have had excellent experience with Glarry, so far. Especially with the Basses! They do a geat job with them, electric guitars, also. None of the acoustics, or Mandolins, I have bought, have been near the decent quality tho, Unfortunately. having purchased now,.. 5 basses I would Defintely recommend t ...

I'll start off by saying, this is a really nice bass for such a low price point. It's very comfortable to play, sounds great and stays in tune. The only reason that I can't give it 5 stars is because it was pretty much unplayable out of the box. The neck was too straight, the action at the bridge was way too low, and the 23rd fret was a bit high. These 3 things caused a ton of buzz and even a few completely dead frets, so it wasn't really a functional instrument out of the box. However, aft ...

Overall, for the price, this is a good instrument. Upon getting the bass the neck was bowed quite a bit, couldn't play it this way. But I did the typical new guitar setup on it and all is good now with playability. My only legitimate complaint is with the pups/electronics. The bridge pup doesn't put out sound, even with the volume knob maxed, until the volume on the neck pup is turned up. But even then the volume of the bridge pup is faint. Another thing is the tone knob for the neck pup wor ...

Quite impressed with the bass. Holds tune well. Neck needed some sanding because it was sticky and a bit rough. I have to tell you, I bought this because I have played a 4 string forever and wanted something cheap to see how a 5 string plays. This bass will be on stage with me soon. Highly recommend for a lower end priced bass! For a $125 bass its pretty nice. I have a couple of $1000 Fender basses that I love

It works well for a starter. Would be 5 stars except the neck and the bridge don't look to be lined up that well. The space between the top of the fretboard and the B string gets bigger toward the body of the guitar compared to the headstock. This causes the pickups to be off compared to the string.

My second Glarry bass. the first purchase was a 4 string fretless - flawless instrument. Obviously I was happy with it - I bought another instrument. This 5 string arrived today. I spent a brief time setting up the action, as you would need to do with any new instrument. It was not at all necessary to have a shop do it, as they send the tools you need included with the instrument and it is great for a player to be able to do this themselves- it will make you a more knowledgable player and take a ...

5 string bass in burley wood. Fit and finish first class. Unbelievably light. Fantastic value for money. Mine played very badly out of the box, with the neck seemingly overdone on the truss rod. Relaxed that a turn, set intonation and saddles and it's pretty good now imo. Think it would benefit from having some frets filed a bit. But all in all it's excellent for the money. I could spend 3-4 times as much for the next up cheap 5 string, but I doubt it would play better and I bet it would be sig ...

I'm Impressed With My New Glarry 5 String Bass. It Came Only Needing Minor Adjustments - Mainly To Get Rid Of A Buzz At The 15th Fret On All Strings. Although The Finish Could Be Better, I See No Reason Not To Use This Bass For Practice, Learning And As A Stage And Studio Back Up Bass. As A Side Note, I Would Take It With A Grain Of Salt When Someone Says Their Glarry Instrument Arrived Needing A Lot Of Work Or Swapping Parts Out For More Expensive Parts. All Of My Glarry Instruments Have Been F ...

In my personal opinion, this is one of the best bass in the market. I will choose glarry over any other brand for sure!!!! I have a 1k+ custom bass and I keep going back to playing my GLARRY GIB 5 string bass live or in any recording. I love how playable it is. How light and steady it is. I already bought 2 basses from glarry and soon I will be buying the GLARRY PRECISION II. For the price and quality….there is nothing better out there!!! Personally, I will choose a Glarry bass over a fender ...

An excellent 5-string bass. It was already intonated out of the box, and the only thing it really needed was the string height adjusted. After that it's playing perfectly.

Bag could be a touch less utilitarian but for the price point? Okay. Same with the strap but handy. The cable is noisy... do not use. Other than that, OMG did they do well! As in better than MIM J Basses! But maybe that was the local stores?) 20 minutes to check everything and tune it up and it was go time so worth it without the "windbreaker/carry sack" Just upgrade the bag and ditch the cable for D'Adarrio for 10 as an add on because that was mind blowingly noisy.

Well lets see, For £100 bucks this is a great guitar. upon unboxing it played with fret buzz. The action was set quite nicely if a bit high, so i went to the world of you tube to remind myself of the setup mechanics to achieve as best as possible setup. I had to loosen the truss rod which gave a slight ark to the neck and then i could lower at the bridge. and voila i have a nice playing bass. And i would definitely recommend at this price point. The Pickups really confuse me, i cant seem to iso ...

Remarkably good bass for the money. Finish is beautiful, electronics are completely quiet, tone is very good. My only gripe is a strange bump near the head stock joint. At some point I will need to reshape that part of the neck with further sanding. All and all, i am very pleased with my new bass guitar.
