I use this bass for my piccolo strings and it sounds wonderful. I love the feel, it's lite. The only problem was the black Polish sticking to your hands on the fretboard. It will leave prints from you playing, and you can see the polish on your calluses. Overall still a wonderful choice.

It's a good little bass for the price. I had to adjust the two heavier strings to eliminate some buzzing but all in all I'm satisfied with the way it sounds and plays.

I couldn't be happier. The build quality is fantastic, especially at this price. There were no finish flaws, no sharp frets, or glue residue. I could see myself being a repeat customer.

Super price on a great beginner instrument. It was playable out of the box. Would I play it professionally? NO but that is not what it is for. This is bass is way better than anything I started with and worth well more than the 129 buck price. With a bridge and some tuners it really could be a gigger. Mine sounds amazingly good both direct and through a nice bass rig. Intonation was close, action good, took just a little truss rod adjustment but these are all things I would have to do to a 2000 ...

There's nothing really spectacular about this bass, except for possibly the bang for your buck. What you get is a fairly well made solid instrument that does the job without any unnecessary frills! Mine arrived well packaged and in good condition. There are a couple of minor finish blends, but they aren't noticeable if you're more than a foot away. The set up was nearly spot-on, only a few minor adjustments were required. The neck and fretwork were well done. Frets are smooth with no sharp ends. ...

The fretboard is dry, but that is somewhat expected, and not a big deal. I did send the back of the neck with 1000 grit paper so it is now silky smooth and plays great. Awesome Bass! I bought this to transition to 5 strings from four, without breaking the bank. Wish it had split pickups at the neck, but that's what I'm used to. Only needs a basic setup, Fretboard conditioning, polish the frets, set action and intonation just how I like it. I'll be changing to a lighter set of strings, but that's again just my preference. Great value at three times the price!

I'm new to 5 string and I don't think I could have done any better for a first 5er Bass!! I was actually surprised at the quality. Far exceeded my expectations! Good job Glarry, I'll be buying more.

Pretty nice for $130! Out of the box, all I did was tune it up and it played really good. I'll eventually buy new black knobs, bridge and tuners and it will be sweet!

Cuts with the grain were fine but cuts against the grain were chattered and chipped, sanding fixed. The neck was super rough, sanding also fixed 2. When I removed the neck the body cut out was delaminated and uneven on the bottom and .035 too wide.Jig and router and hardwood shim and all fixed 3.The bridge string width is not the same as the pickup pots width so the strings get progressively farther away . I knew that before purchase from the pictures. Sounds fine with a little preamp EQ 4. I cleaned and disinfected the strings before playing but after 10 minutes of playing my fingertips were covered in black "gunk" 5. Nut looked like the slots were molded and two had some flash under the strings. Quick swipe with a nut file and all good To Glarry:: You are one good engineer away from making a really GREAT product at an incredible price

I was worried the bass would also be damaged. Luckily it was not, I credit the styrofoam that the bass was packaged in. I encourage Glarry to ship all their instruments this way. The neck has a smooth finish and absolutely no fret-sprouts. The only complaint, if you call call it that, is there is fret buzz. That I can remedy myself with some minor adjustments. The GIB 5 string arrived on time, but the box was badly damaged. I thought for sure the Bass would damaged, but to my surprise it is not. The Bass plays pretty good for the price paid. I plan to change the pickups because they are pretty weak, especially on the Low B string. I've replaced the pickups on my Glarry Jazz Bass 4 string for the same reason. I will also put flatwound strings on the Bass. The tuning keys seem to be holding up for now, but I might put Gotoh tuners on in the future. I pu ...

I bought this to give to one of my brothers as a Christmas gift. I don't know much about electric instruments, but it looked very nice when I first unpacked it to make sure it arrived undamaged. The finish was great and the wood's grain looked very nice. He said he tuned it and did a little work on it, and seems to enjoy it.

I very very inexpensive, very capable 5 string bass. I am impressed. For the price point, it cannot be beat. Period. It is light weight. Very Playable.
