The violin itself looks beautiful. About the only flaw is the varnish (or whatever the clear coat is) coating had a drip on it shaped like an icicle. My bow kept getting caught in it and I kept braking hairs on my bow. I thought it was me at fault. But, when I realized it was the clear coat, I just took some very fine sand paper and sanded it away. Haven't broken a hair on my bow since. I only broke 6 hairs, so I'm okay. It takes at least a week for the strings to settle, After that, it h ...

For a bargain violin, this is a good instrument. I'm happy with it.

Let's face it. A 12 year old boy isn't too gentle with things and we don't know if he actually likes it (it was his idea). So we settled on a cheap violin. But what I didn't expect was that this violin left a deep impression on me. It comes with everything shown. The case alone is very good and worth the price. He will have classes early next month and is looking forward to the teacher's professional evaluation.
