It's not the highest quality but that's to be expected. It'll get the job done as long as you take care of it. This is a true beginner's kit that comes with everything you'll ever need including a bow, rosin, bridge, soft carrying-case and extra strings. Out of the box, all you need to do is attach the bridge and rosin your bow. I'm extremely happy with this purchase and recommend it to any and everyone looking for a great high quality beginner's cello.

This is the lowest price for this brand. But it's really good in quality and sound. I replaced the bow with a higher quality bow as well as the strings, as the bow and strings that came with it were not very good. I also took it to a shop to have the bridge carved to its proper fitting. Doing these simple things will make a big difference and my instructor noticed the difference and asked me what I had done before I told her. I will be looking to upgrade to a better cello in about two years.

Cellos are not cheap! But this is a very good price compared to ~$600-$700 starter student cello at the music store which sounds and looks similar as this one. Love it!

I am a choral music teacher and wanted to teach myself how to play. I don't want to invest a lot of money in case teaching myself didn't turn out well. However, I have been impressed with it. Perfect for beginners and it even stays in tune!!! I make my debut this weekend at church!

I got it on sale for $199 and it is mind boggling how you can get a real Cello for $200. I broke a string turning the wrong peg when I was tuning it and was disappointed they didn't offer replacement strings but I ordered a single D string online and GuitarTuna has a Cello Tuning option in their free version of their app, I recommend you download it. The bow is ok but I like my violin bow better, this is an awesome beginner instrument.

Not for the professional but perfect for the student. Bought this for my daughter. It is in very good shape. It has good sound and does not cost a fortune to find out if your child will stay interested in playing. I would recommend for a beginning student.

We got this for our son who had just started cello lessons at school! We got some quotes from local shops which were very high and did not want to spend that much out the gate. This cello has worked out great and held up very well. He takes lessons several times a week and has had no problems with it, one of his private instructors who teaches at a music school for gifted children saw no problem with the instrument! Great price especially for beginners!

I got my Cello much more quickly than I anticipated it would come in it was in great shape very professionally made and had premium flat wound strings on it was easy to set up I'm totally happy!
