I would have given it 5 stars, but it needs work to be playable. I sanded the saddle down a good bit on the bottom to lower the string action because it was extremely high. It easily pops out when you remove the strings. I also put new strings on it and that made a huge difference in sound output and tone. It sounds much better now. This guitar is really fun to play! I used D'Addario shortscale, nickel wound, medium gauge strings and they are perfect. Sanding the bottom of the saddle was easy. D ...

Can't beat the price. I picked this bass up as a take anywhere no worries instrument. I've played it every day since I received it the sound is great. I do have to tune it alot but the strings are new so that's expected. Tuner works great. Action is high but and easy fix. I have yet to plug it in so I'm not sure about the electrical side.

I mean, for being one of the cheapest bass guitars on Amazon, it's not bad. But you can definitely tell it's a cheaply made instrument. As others have stated, mine too came with several blemishes, but nothing bad enough to me warrant a return. The tuning pegs are cheap, and I may try and replace them. The tuner works well, which I seem to be using a lot due to the pegs. Overall, it's a good bass, but it definitely sounds and plays like a beginner instrument. If that's what you want, go for ...
