We got this for our son who had just started cello lessons at school! We got some quotes from local shops which were very high and did not want to spend that much out the gate. This cello has worked out great and held up very well. He takes lessons several times a week and has had no problems with it, one of his private instructors who teaches at a music school for gifted children saw no problem with the instrument! Great price especially for beginners!

I got my Cello much more quickly than I anticipated it would come in it was in great shape very professionally made and had premium flat wound strings on it was easy to set up I'm totally happy!

The body of the cello itself is beautiful. I got the black one and I love it. There are no scratches or imperfections. It's very well assembled. I'm sure it's not the best quality wood, or shaped by any renowned instrument maker, but I feel like it's very nice for the price.

Amazing, more beautiful than I imagined!!! The color of the photo looks a little off due to lighting issues, but trust me, it's really beautiful than the picture! Love it!!! Can't wait to take it to cello lessons on Friday.

My 16 year old already plays all the instruments in woodwind so he decided to learn Cello. I did over tune the A string when I was first getting it in tune, and it broke, so it's a good thing they've included an extra set. The cello sounds good.

It made a weird squeaky sound when I played the G string while holding down on the fret. But I started making sure I kept the rosin residue wiped off the string, switched to Jade rosin, and started using the bow like I was taught in Cello Playing for Music Lovers: A Self-Teaching Method, and it disappeared. I love it!

I think this is an amazing cello for the price. Considering that most beginner cellos in a music store start out around $1,000, finding a cello that sounds good at all for $200 is great.

This is a great first cello/student cello. Delivered quickly, without damage, as advertised. I got the Golden 4/4 for my daughter. She is currently playing on a rental 3/4 from school and they sound the same. I tuned it myself with the tuner. This was a great purchase for my daughter the price was very reasonable!

This cello is awesome. Easily able to tune. Packaging was on point. I bought the black one. I have enjoyed it quite a bit. I ended up putting red label strings on it, because I broke one string. The red label strings do sound better than the original ones, though.

No apparent manufacturing defects, everything was included, and the bridge was simple enough for someone with no experience to set up (with the help of a single YouTube video). My only complaint is that it can't hold a string in tune for half an hour, but I'm hoping that will get better as I break in the instrument.

Both my instructor and I were surprised with the quality. Great cello for a beginner, very affordable. Bridge is not installed but that's how they transport cellos and you can install it yourself.

So far i can say that is an excellent Instruments to start. Instrument arrived well packaged. All stated parts included. The bridge just needed to be set in place and tune. Ready to play otherwise. Good sound, no flaws noticed, and has been well played since arriving.

Great for the price range. Color is nice and the music teacher said it was fine for a beginner. I do recommend you get the hard case package, though. I am sorry I did not do that because it`s a big, bulky instrument with fragile parts.

Just got it today. Gorgeous! Black is really really cool. Bridge is not set, but to be expected for shipping. Everything pictured arrived, sound post is in right place as well. Tuned it up and sounds great! It meets all my requirements for a cello.

My husband wanted to learn how to play the cello. The cello arrived in great condition. It looked beautiful. He was able to tune it just fine and it did take a couple of days to "hold" the tune, but that is expected. It's been a great starter. Just a tip for those starting too. Use a nail file to rough up the rosin and then the rosin will better coat the bow. I would recommend for anyone needing a starter cello!

Came and looks as described. I was impressed with the cellos resonance for being so non-expensive compared to my local music store. I would definitely recommend these cellos to anyone just starting out like myself & someone who doesn't want to pay arm and leg for an instrument that they aren't sure how long they will play it (like your kid in school perhaps).

It was cheaper to buy this than rent one for our kids at school. It sounds very good too. She is extremely pleased with the sound of this her dream instrument. It is amazing that you can get a cello in the mail!
