My first Glarry purchase,in Sunset to match my Ridgewood Strar Sunset. Up and ready to go soon after being out of the box. Quite impressed to be honest. Only real issue was bent fine hex tool. As a note to purchasers Hermes were very fluid in this delivery which almost left me speechless. Since delivery I've ordered Glarry Bass Strings & Dedicated Kinsman Bass Amp from the online Market Place. I would & will order Glarry again.

This was a great purchase. Love the finish and the sound. Nut needed to be lowered and feet ends needed a little attention. Frets were level and nicely crowned. Guitar plays great and still have orginal strings installed.

Originally I was sent a blue pbass, when I ordered a burlywood jazz bass. Although disappointed, after emailing the Glarry team, the bass I originally ordered arrived within a week, hassle free. The bass sounds good, and the amp is very acceptable for the price. You wouldn't be able to get an extremely noticeably better amp for less than $100. Comparing the Pbass to the Jazz bass, the jazz sounds better with the slap technique, and has more variability in tone, but you can't really go wrong with ...

I told a couple friends I bought a Bass but would not tell them what kind or how much. I received the Bass very quickly, it was packaged very well and looked great. I even got a little practice amp for the price. I tuned it up and it had just a little fret buzz. I tweaked out the truss rod just a little and now it plays great. I still need to set the intonation and action a little but it is very playable and sounds great. I told my friends I spent $250 on this Bass and they thought I got a really good deal! Well you can imagine their surprise when I showed them the website and what it really cost. I thought it was funny because nobody would ever think that you can find a decent guitar at these prices. Well I think they will be ordering some guitars and I know that I will be too.

The bass is nice and light but also sturdy. 2 issues with my bass is the nut is uneven. The side nearest to the e-string is mich higher than the end near the g-string. Second issue is the back of the neck is rough in large spots as though it wasn't completely sanded.

I am not a bass player. I am a guitarist that likes to have fun with other instruments. Im also not rich, so spending hundreds on a mediocre guitar just does not make sense. I am also decent at setting up guitars and can do most work on my own. That being said, I did not see this as any risk to myself, buying this bass guitar after seeing several video reviews on it by much better players than myself. I will say that all the comments on this bass from the reviews I have watched... I agree with. ...

That being said, I did not see this as any risk to myself, buying this bass guitar after seeing several video reviews on it by much better players than myself. I will say that all the comments on this bass from the reviews I have watched... I agree with. The instrument is LIGHT. Like a toy. But don't let that fool you. String action is not the lowest I have seen, but I can work with it, and Im no bassist by any means. The majority of the weight is in the neck, which has its good and bad. The good means that its dense enough to not give in too much to the weight of the strings and stresses of the truss. The bad is the neck dive from the bad balance. I am used to it now, but at first my left shoulder was sore. Not from the weight of the entire guitar. And I have a pretty heavy gibby LP. It was from holding the neck up and keeping it from diving. The fret ends were just a little sharp, so i ran a sanding block down them to even it out (its 85bucks so i dont care if i was sloppy). pick ups sound fine through a tc bam200 into a 2x12 4ohm cab and no pedals. knobs turn nicely and are predictable in their adjustments. The pickguard is a little warped in one spot so it doesnt sit flush with the body. But i didnt notice it until recently so i never felt it. Tuners arent the greatest, but they tune and hold. Overall this is a perfect guitar for a beginner or hobbyist where name brand and micro improvements in playability and construction dont matter as much. or if you like to work on guitars. or if you want to customize one and just need the shell to start off. im even considering finding another body and swapping everything just to get the balance right then i would be more than happy with this. if you fit any of these criteria, get this bass. you wont be sorry. you will be sorry if you think everything you pay pennies on the dollar for should have the fit and finish of their famous counterparts and refuse to learn how to do a little work on your own gear.

I shopped around, and grew curious upon finding Glarry on YouTube. I said the same thing that everyone else says. How can a bass that cheap be any more than a piece of firewood and wire? Well, spoiler alert! These things are LEGIT instruments. I fully expected poor quality fit and finish, and a bad setup. My expectations were smashed! Fit and finish is EXCELLENT, and no set up was needed. I did take it apart just to take a look inside, and do some work on the fretboard. I noticed that the finish on the fretboard is odd. Nothing defective, just looked dry. I lemon oiled it and it got better, but still felt a little odd, so I took a plastic card (like a credit card) and burnished the grain with the edge of it so it would sort of smooth out and close the grain. That seemed to do the trick. Looks fine now, and feels silky smooth. Other than the 30 minutes of tinkering with the fretboard (which wasn't needed, just my preference), this thing is a 10 out of 10. Is it a hand crafted in a custom shop heirloom that will impress a brand snob? NO. Is is a good beginner instrument? YES. Is it useful for more advanced users? YES. Could it be used to gig with? YES. Will it last? I think it will. If you treat your instruments like instruments, and not baseball bats, it should last for many years. Do you get what you pay for? NO...you get so much more. I would seriously have paid 3 to 4 times more in the past to get a similar quality instrument. I have absolutely no idea how Glarry is making any money on these. I will be getting a P Bass in the future as well as a tele style just to see how those are, but I can honestly say, I am a Glarry fan going forward. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK GLARRY!

The fret ends aren't quite as rounded as I personally prefer, but they're dressed to a perfectly good standard and I will round them off myself. The underside of the nut can be a little sharp so I will also round that off. The pickups: I was expecting to need to swap these out immediately but I'm actually really happy with how they sound. The neck pickup is rich and full. The bridge pickup is a touch trebley for my liking, but that is managed with either the tone knob or blending a little neck into it. It came straight out of the box with a nice action and after a day while the strings settled the tuning stability is fantastic. Will definitely be recommending, and trying out some of Glarry's other offerings!

I saw this on Allen Brown's YouTube channel (Bully Thakidd), and thought I would see if this bass lived up to the hype. This thing is playable right outside the box. It looks good and sounds pretty. If you wanted to set it up, it would be cake. The neck is thick like a P-Bass, which I don't really mind since I started with a P-Bass. There also seems to be a grounding/shielding problem, but YouTube tutorials could easily walk you through fixing the hum. The gig bag won't protect the bass from har ...

Maybe, in years to come, I might want to get a guitar servicing pro to tweak a couple of bits, after all, it is wood and steel which can be adjusted if need be - it's up to me to make it sound good.
