Really great bass for the money - had some minor quibbles, but nothing that wasn't fixable. The edge of the pickguard needed deburring all the way around, and the nut slots were a bit rough. Quite a few of the pickguard screws were angled off-center, there was a ton of sawdust and polishing compound underneath, and some of the stain on the neck came off on my hands at first. Gave the fretboard a coat of mineral oil, lubed up the tuners, and gave it a good setup (nice that it came with a neck shim already) and some new flatwounds, and it plays fantastically well. For a sub-$100 bass, I'm impressed that I didn't have to do any more extensive repairs.

For the price I thought this was a pretty dam good instrument......the fret board is nice..... buzzed at first but the normal raising of this bridge piece worked ....... and i'm buzz free ...the intonation was consistent but I couldn't get the screws to behave in order to bring the notes to the guide dots right where I want them... I think this is where the price comes in as the hardware was a little cheap ..so I just adjust my playing to the dot position. But in general I'm really happy with ...

Very satisfied with this purchase. Excellent intro instrument into the fretless world. Arrived in good condition and playable out of the box. Neck heavy but that was expected when paying such a low price. Proves that you can make decent guitars without charging a fortune.

Guitar arrived just fine in standard shipping box. No damage. Glarry uses really cheesy film to protect the pick guard and it is hard to pick off all the nooks and crannies. Pick guard themselves are garbage: They are made of a super soft plastic than can be gouged with just a fingernail. Finish was fine. I did not detect any cosmetic issues. These guitars do not come set up (it is a budget axe). The neck was WAY out of adjustment. I don't think I've ever had to turn the truss rod nut that many ...

For a fretless, the strings are wrong. Be ready to install some flats. I went with some tape wounds and the sound became much better. The pickups are ok, no complaints. The rest of the electronics are fine. I do not hear any buzz and the pots seem to be slightly loose, but not a deal breaker. The fingerboard is excellent. After a good set up, the guitar really sounds nice for a practice rig. There are fret dots on the edge, but it is a good challenge not having fret lines. Let your muscle memory work for you! All in all, I am happy with the purchase. You absolutely cannot beat the price, and there is decent quality control to warrant getting one.

Problem free ordering and delivery. The tip of the headstock slightly damaged probably because the package was handled upside down at some point. Not too bad, but it's there. Body unmarred.. Neck and strings needed to be set up properly, but that's to be expected. Good product for the price.

The quality of the instrument for the price is astounding. The bass was set up well right out of the box. Speaking of which, the transport packaging could do with some improvement as the neck was slightly damaged (see image). Not a terribly big deal but somewhat noticeable as the nick is right where my thumb rests on the neck. Nevertheless, I can only recommend Glarry instruments, especially if you're looking to do adjustments and setting up yourself without having to worry about doing damage. T ...

I'm a bassist with 43 years of experience and I already own 35 basses so I definitely didn't 'need' another bass. I ordered the fretless with no expectations because of such a low price. Upon opening the box I realized this bass looks good. I changed the strings to flatwounds, set the bridge, tweaked the truss rod and it was good to go. This bass is incredible for the price you pay. I did a little set up on it, and it holds a tune and plays great now. The pickups sound incredible! Almost seems too good to be true, but this instrument really is a winner. Sounds great through an amp, mixer or interface. Only reason I gave it 4 stars is that I haven't quite been able to get the intonation right on the open G string. Maybe needs some replacement parts or strings to achieve that. The fit and finish was excellent. I would recommend this to someone wanting to learn fretless. The Bad: The nut is pure junk. I replaced it with a bone nut for under $10. Took all of 2 min and a bit of glue. Also, the fret markers are not where the note is. I had to drill and install markers in the correct position. About an hour of work if you know what youre doing. I, personally, don't like flying blind on a fretless. The big problem for me though is that the truss rod was seized. I didn't realize it unlit after i modified the neck so there is no returning this bad boy. I tried all the tricks but its isn't going anywhere. I put so much pressure on it that it stripped the adjustment point on the rod. Conclusion: For the money, its an A+. I think taking this instrument to a good luthier (or being a good luthier) is an important cost to factor into this purchase. I sunk about $70 in total between upgrades and strings, . I thinks that pretty good considering its still half the cost of the Squier or Ibanez competitor. I would like to see an upgraded version of this for maybe $20 more. Get a decent nut in there and clean up the quality control and this thing would be unbeatable in this price range.

The lack of fret lines on the side of the fretboard makes playing intonation more of a challenge than it needs to be. I'm not sure why they would bother to put the dots but not lines where you actually put your fingers. The pickups (I assume cheap ceramics, though I haven't yet looked) lack the low end definition that I'm used to. I ordered some P-Bass pic ...

I had to loosen the truss rod a bit for it to behave properly with some D-Addario tape-wounds I had lying around. After I got everything dialed in it sounds pretty good. As a former Cellist, the lack of fret markers should be surmountable for me. I have to say that you've offered me a challenge and a reason to practice bass instead of just guitar.

It's solidly built, wonderfully lightweight, metal parts solids, volume and tone have absolutely no static, output is equal to my Fender Jazz Bass USA but it's more fun to play than the Jazz! It was a good deal, the quality of the instrument its has just enough good level to practice at home even to jam whit the band, the finishing isnt to WOW! But at yhe end you can enjoy and get fun whit this great fretless bass sounding like a real bassman. I received the Glarry fretless bass as a gift from my daughters and wife for my birthday. This is actually my third Glarry bass, they make great modding platforms. Received in good shape, did require some setup, truss rod adjustment, intonation, pickup and string height but that almost a given. The bass itself is great and plays well and sounds good. Taking away 1 star for the *awful* instrument cable that shipped with it. I'd pay just a bit more to have it come with a much better cable.

A great bass for the price! Super fast shipping, Tuning keys are bit stiff, the compensating nut has sharper edges than I'd like (it can be an issue with thread bindings or with tape-wound strings), and the fingerboard is bare wood. Still, sounds great and totally worth it.

The action is also stupidly high but also, this is minor Neck: the finish is VERY NICE the YouTube videos do not exaggerate on feel of the finish, however on my particular neck I found a rough spot around the 14th fret, minor and can be sanded away Fretboard: the ebolite board does the job, edges are kinda rough but again, this is minor and can be sanded down to taste. Body: there is a ding on the upper horn of this bass by the strap peg and you can plainly see that it was colored in with a sharpie, kinda disappointing but expected for price. Pickguard: this is the most glaring part of the bass that shows it's "cost". Very roughly cut and looks like it was crushed into place around the neck. Also minor and can be fixed with some work. Pickup: this is actually the best part of the bass, it sounds FANTASTICALLY PBASS lol. Bridge: unfortunately the bridge is off center by less than 1/2 but it's noticeable at first glance. The bag and the strap aren't that nice, honestly, but the bass was only $100, so that's completely excusable. Action is good out of the box. The tuners are a little hard to turn; nothing a little oil couldn't fix but I'd like to see that handled during production. The nut is plastic and seems to be cut OK, but it's a tiny bit wider than the neck is, so a bit of it hangs out over the top. Again, this is a $100 fretless bass, so still excusable, and an easy fix. The pickups sound good, the electronics are clean. It has the grounding hum that seems to plague Glarry electric basses, but AGAIN it's only $100! The fret markers on the top of the fingerboard are lined up for a fretted board and not a fretless, but this is not a big issue either. This is a fantastic project bass, if you are so inclined. Whenever we can get back to gigging, I intend to use this as my main for a while. If you're curious about fretless, this is a great way to try it out!
