Very satisfied with this purchase. Excellent intro instrument into the fretless world. Arrived in good condition and playable out of the box. Neck heavy but that was expected when paying such a low price. Proves that you can make decent guitars without charging a fortune.

I took it out of the box, tuned it & started playing immediately. It was already set-up and ready to go. The strings are a half-round that feel nice on the fingers without gouging the fingerboard. And that thing is thicker than what's on my P-bass. It's really light compared to the usual bass. So much that you'll think it'll sound crappy but, wait until you plug in. This thing is loud if you want it to be. The pickups are the usual P style but punchy and clear FOR A $100 BASS! The tone control works, yes, it works and is more of a treble roll-off and the lows are not that muddy. The volume control has a good range as well. It's not just 0 to 1 to 8, it's got a nice gradual increase or decrease from 1-10. And the finish is incredible, Seriously, no flaws, or inclusions anywhere in the paint. (I have the Black cherry burst) I'm so happy with the quality of this fretless that I plan on buying 2 more to give to my friends as gifts. Again, FOR A $100 FRETLESS BASS you can't go wrong especially if you're learning to play a fretless. And if you want to get into guitar repair these guitars are a good place to start for an axe you'd be learning on.

I am pleasantly surprised by the quality of this inexpensive fretless bass. Delivered in about a week, adequately packaged, good playability right out of the box, light weight body finished nicely. I changed the strings to flat wounds and lowered the action a bit and am enjoying playing this bass. I really don't think I'd bother to modify it at all at this point. Great instrument for the price!

Pretty honest instrument at the price point! I'm a working drummer getting into bass so after a couple of months learning on my fretted jazz bass, I wanted to try a fretless mostly because I love the tone it produces. The lack of lines or guides in the fingerboard cans be challenging, but if you're used to a fretted one and have good ears, you'll overcome it real quick. The Glarry bass neck keeps straight as an arrow, with very little relief as it's my personal preference. I feel that I'm gonna need a new nut because it's hard to get the notes on the first "fret" position. Other than that, no modifications needed so far. It holds the tune very well, although I feel the tuning machines are weak to the pressure. Time will tell. I had a small problem with electronics on mine. Out of the box, it didn't make any sound. No output at all. Tried different cables, amps and nothing. Glarry customer service worked to solve the problem and I sent the bass to a repair shop after they refunded me the amount needed to get it done. I really appreciate the way this company make business and certainly will buy other products in the near future. As others mentioned, get yourself a tuner, erase the white dots on side of the neck and write new ones. I'm having a lot of fun with this bass!

The only down side is the exceptionally light weight of the body wood (I believe it might be Paulownia ... not Basswood as listed in the Specs) making it a bit neck heavy. Even with that I can easily compensate for it while playing by resting my forearm more on the lower bout. Guitar arrived just fine in standard shipping box. No damage. Glarry uses really cheesy film to protect the pick guard and it is hard to pick off all the nooks and crannies. Pick guard themselves are garbage: They are made of a super soft plastic than can be gouged with just a fingernail. Finish was fine. I did not detect any cosmetic issues. These guitars do not come set up (it is a budget axe). The neck was WAY out of adjustment. I don't think I've ever had to turn the truss rod nut that many ...

For a fretless, the strings are wrong. Be ready to install some flats. I went with some tape wounds and the sound became much better. The pickups are ok, no complaints. After a good set up, the guitar really sounds nice for a practice rig. There are fret dots on the edge, but it is a good challenge not having fret lines. Let your muscle memory work for you! All in all, I am happy with the purchase. You absolutely cannot beat the price, and there is decent quality control to warrant getting one.

Playing only with a drum track.... not so good with my imperfect sense of pitch. The body was listed as "basswood".... and after a little research, I believe this is actually Paulownia or wood from the Empress Tree which is prevalent in China where these are manufactured...and matches the grain structure on the guitar.... unlike the grain structure of basswood. Light duty hardware in looks, but it is doing a great job as of the writing of this review.

I received the fretless bass that I ordered, and I do have a couple of comments. After playing it, I was pleased with quality considering the low price. The only concern I had were with the tuning pegs. The bass does not stay in tune, and as I try to tune it, the tuning pegs seem to lock up and then loosen to a fault. I will have to replace the tuning pegs as they just don't work. Other than that, a decent bass for the price. I would like to purchase additional guitars/bass guitars, but I am con ...

For the price I have to give it 5 stars. The strings they ship with are unusable, they literally feel jagged tin and sound like it. Clip them off and try some nylons or something else. The dots are completely off, just get a tuner and a pencil to mark the side frets yourself. For the price you can't beat it, totally playable with aftermarket strings.

Problem free ordering and delivery. The tip of the headstock slightly damaged probably because the package was handled upside down at some point. Not too bad, but it's there. Body unmarred.. Neck and strings needed to be set up properly, but that's to be expected. Good product for the price.

Speaking of which, the transport packaging could do with some improvement as the neck was slightly damaged (see image). Not a terribly big deal but somewhat noticeable as the nick is right where my thumb rests on the neck. Just received my fretless bass. Box was beat.. But guitar was fine. I'm actually surprised how playable it is. The neck is nice and action is good. Nice sound. Clear and strong. I'm happy with it. Fretless sound is very cool!

My second Glarry bass. Absolute sound awesome, Out of the box has better playability , tone, and factory setup than any other of my non Glarry basses. After 65 years of playing, by far the most fun to play. I wish I had enough money for a Glarry Super Strat. These instrument are phenomenal at any price! Comes highly recommended at any price point. I added flat wounds for that elusive Jaco Pastorius sound. Great for anyone who wants to learn or just plain have tons of fun.

Very satisfied! I ordered a fretless bass to be first of its kind to try out. For the price, the bass plays great right out of the box. Sounds great too! Mind you, I do have a few Fender basses, including an American standard. Keep up the good work!

Just got my Glarry GP fretless bass today. Disappointed. The E string tuner is completely loose and both pickups were collapsed inside the body. When the string is loosened the tuner rotates about 45 degrees. The pickups are rattling around inside the body. Oh, well.

When I received my GP fretless Bass, there was a problem with the pickups not being mounted. Upon contacting Glarry, Lin was super helpful, friendly and expedited a solution very quickly. I had my doubts. But in the end it's a great playing bass. I was in the market for a fretless. Didn't want to spend thousands and find I couldn't play it. So this option showed me a fretless is bad ass and now look forward to getting a 5 string next. I did have an issue with the tuners. They sent me replacements quick. Great customer service.
