And the build quality is actually pretty decent. Con is, they're putting a guitar in your hand as cheap as possible, and after a while of playing you'll notice, some places like sound quality or intonation could be better and that 60/70 USD price shows and personally sometimes I keep accidentally hitting the pickup selector and moving it while playing. I don't know if that's just me, probably is but that's not here or there. However overall it's a pretty decent guitar, not painful to play on doesn't feel cheap and it's only 60/70. It'd be good for someone who wants to try guitar but maybe not, or someone who wants a simple cheap product for some simple fun, Or parent who's looking at a guitar for their kid who doesn't want to drop a ton of money given they may get bored of it or other set ups are a bit pricey etc. It also seems kinda loud, I don't have a lot of electric guitar experience so maybe it's more normal than I'd think I'd personally prefer a quieter experience for later in the day/not bother others playing but I can see how a lot of people wouldn't care or be happy about it because they wouldn't absolutely need an amp saving them that money or able to spread out their spending a bit over time, because let's be honest, if you're looking at this guitar you're gonna be concerned about price.

The fact that this guitar arrived with a perfectly straight neck, no major finish blemishes and not a single sharp fret blows my mind. I have guitars that cost far more that had more blemishes and worse frets. The tuners are too powerful, so you might think about changing them, and while you're at it grab some new strings and a pack of tremolo-arm tension springs. You'll definitely need to do a setup. This is not a Fender or even a Squier or anything, but it's definitely a very playable guitar that actually sounds pretty darn good once you get it set up correctly. There was even a minor issue with my order and Glarry very quickly made it right, which is also amazing that you'd get that kind of customer service for what you pay. I have no idea how they can sell these for so little (with free shipping no less!) Buy one before you can't anymore. Just be prepared to roll up your sleeves and do some work before you can start playing it.

I have had this guitar for over a year now. It feels so natural in my hands that I reach for it all the time. I like it so much that I'm about ready to buy one of those sweet looking yellow tele"s too. Been playing for about 45 years. It's not a Fender but these are really nice guitars. Buy one you will not be disappointed.

have no idea how the price can be so cheap for such good quality product. very straight neck and nicely done fret work. if it has better pick ups (current ones have pretty low output), even if the price is slightly higher, i would buy another or recommend to friends strongly to try this guitar

I received the GST Maple Fingerboard Electric Guitar about a week ago. To be honest, I wasn't expecting much at this price. But I am VERY HAPPY with this guitar. The finish is beautiful and the quality very good. I did have to adjust the truss rod, because I had string buzzing in the middle of the neck. But after that it is a joy to play! I will definitely recommend this guitar to others. One note: It arrived with one of the tuning keys knocked out of alignment - rough trip I guess. I'm not send ...

I've been playing guitar since 1991 and own 30 guitars including the Big Names. For a $65 (inc. S&H!), you can't do much better. The GST is aimed for the beginner, but it is just as fun for the seasoned player. It has a neck thicker than I expected (think Les Paul Jr.) and the pickups are lower frequency, but it is a really fun guitar and is a great starting point for those who want to modify their guitar, learn to do their own set-ups, etc... First impressions, the guitar was better looking that the website pictures (the body paint was excellent) The setup was not too bad, and sustain was excellent. Excellent guitar for the money. I have a Les Paul Standard, and wanted to get an inexpensive Strat-type as a complement (and to potentially buy for the grand-kids). As I was working on bettering the setup I found that two of the saddle height set screws wouldn' ...

Contacted customer support and learned that they do not have any replacement parts at all, but they provided a credit so that I could order the parts (MIM Strat type) to replace them. After tweaking the bridge and adjusting for intonation and action, using the strings that came with the guitar, it became a very acceptable guitar to use. I changed the strings to my faves before even plugging it in, probably on the assumption that these wouldn't be very good. Could be wrong about that. I haven't had to touch the truss rod. String and pickup heights were spot on. It was properly intonated, a good thing since a couple of saddles are as far up as possible. I'll probably upgrade the bridge before too long. For now, the one it came with will suffice. I haven't touched the trem, as I don't use one. I will mod the guitar over time, probably starting by changing to humbuckers. Just a preference. There's no rush. It is perfectly playable as is. I'm impressed. Glarry delivered. Budget guitars are often recommended for beginners. I disagree. They usually need more work than a beginner is capable of, which leads to frustration. This one would be fine for a beginner, including me, a beginner for many years.

FIRST IMPRESSION: String action was very high, pick guard was filthy (looked like someone handled it with glue on their fingers), volume POT was scratchy (cut in and out). I knew I could adjust the action myself, I later figured out the 'filthy' looking pick guard was actually protective clear-sheet cover (duh) and resolved pot noise with knob-spray. SO, not the best ...

I have been a luthier for over 40 years. I build, restore, and repair acoustic and electric guitars. I can honestly say that i am truly amazed by this guitar. Even with my resources i couldn't build a guitar of this quality for this price! I bought the guitar with intensions of upgrading the tuners, pickups and bridge. However, it plays great as is so i wont be doing these upgrades. This guitar plays and sounds every bit as good as my Strat Players and MIM guitars. Excellent product!

This guitar exceeded all expectations. It has no noticeable construction or finish flaws. The setup is good right out of the box. Using a strobe tuner the intonation was nearly dead on. Tuning machines are smooth. Stays in tune better than a lot of other entry level instruments. Pickups are weak but adequate. Neck is unfinished but is nicely done and has a good profile. These are great for beginners as is. I purchased one as a project based on the many review videos. A little fret finishing work ...

Incredible amount of guitar for the money. It's not a Fender, so don't expect it to be. Nice glean tones, a sweet neck with no flex, and an almost flawless finish make this one a keeper.

....I bought this guitar after it was featured on the Trogly Guitar Show (on YouTube). The one I got was pretty good. Fat blond neck, decent fretwork, light basswood body. I changed-out everything else. It plays great now. These guitars are very cheap in cost so it's not reasonable to expect a lot out of these. The 3 things that mattered to me were met, so I'm very happy.

Guitar looks good, but it will need adjustment to the neck, bridge and nut to get the action I would like to have. I believe it is well worth the price.

I couldn't be happier with my purchase, was amazed at what a great value this was. I bought one and ended up buying another and will buy more I'm sure. You can't beat this for the money, I ordered a name brand guitar that costs four times more and it needed a setup, the two Glarry guitars were setup fine right out of the box and played great. Buy one, (or more) you won't regret it!
