I bought this bundle about two years ago, because I thought the guitar looked cool and it couldn't be purchased alone. The guitar played and sounded surprisingly good (through another amp) after a slight intonation tweak. The immediate realization was that this is not actual woodgrain, it is a printed pattern on paper or a decal under the polycoat with halftone dots clearly visible. That said, it looks good on a guitar stand and is a great stage decoration or background prop in a photo. The pickups won't blow anyone away, but sound fine (especially at the cost). The amp is ... well it works. The gig bag was more of a dust protector, but exactly what I expected. The 4-bit cable is fine as a spare, but don't expect longevity. I did have to sand down a bit of overspray on the neck where it met the body, but no major issue. The back of the neck had a decent satin finish otherwise. Back when I was an active musician, and found out that batteries in a guitar were not always a good thing (especially at a gig in the middle of nowhere when they went dead), this would have been a very usable fallback that could finish the night (with new strings). The body contours are right, the neck is fine, the tuners are... usable, and It's actually pretty good for the money. I gave this 4 stars for the playability and value of the instrument. The amplifier added no real value. For the money, this is a pretty good package, and if it is available without the ... working amplifier I would give it a 4.5 rating.
