Great for a starter violin. Took a bit to get the bow working with the new rosin (about 5-10 minutes) but after that it works great. Don't have need for the tuner since I like the one on my phone (gStrings).

Very pretty, came with everything listed. Only issue is the pegs don't go in all the way, and need to be sanded down, so string does not come loose when playing. But overall a great buy.

It is good for a first violin. Needs a good deal of set up and tuning is very hard even with their tuner. I had to go in and get it professionally done.

For a beginner this is a great instrument to get. The case is also very sturdy and works well. Maybe add something to the case so it remains open when you take the instrument out of it. Overall a great buy for a beginner.

I really liked the violin, I think it looks amazing. The only downside is that my frog on my bow is loose when it arrived. The back of the frog is coming off of the bow.

This product came poorly packaged in a thin bag with no packing materials that was ripped upon arrival as was the cheaply made violin case. Every single seam on the case is coming unraveled, there's a rip at the top of the case exposing the Styrofoam within that could have been avoided with better more insulated packaging, and the violin itself is scratched and scuffed - looks returned and resold. Being that the violin was encased, this indicates the violin was scratched when placed in the case ...

Being that the violin was encased, this indicates the violin was scratched when placed in the case so I cant blame my careless UPS guy or poor packaging - it was placed in there in that condition. This is a Christmas gift and being that we're 4 days out, I have to give my daughter a scratched violin in a ripped and unraveled case. No time to return. The only purchase I made this Christmas that I'm not satisfied with.

Beautiful beginner's instrument!! Quality workmanship and everything a new player needs. My only complaint would be the rosin was pure crumbled chalk but that's an easy fix.

Only complaint is that the bridge is not properly shaped - the E string side should be more curved so it's lower on that side. My bridge is only gently curved at all and trying to isolate the D and A strings is a nightmare. I am seriously considering seeking out a luthier to fit a better bridge and to give the fingerboard a once over. From what I can tell, the sounds coming from this violin are bright but not shrill, the bow is decent and didn't need a lot of rosining even the first time trying for a sound. I'm still excited about my purchase!

The instrument is very good looking in my opinion as well as the accessories, but I was very disappointed at the fact that my bow is broken or doesn't work. When I screw to tighten the frog the bow rises like a rainbow and does not tighten the hair.

It took me most of a full day to find the information and set up the instrument decently. You need to include instruction which explain the strings at nut should be carefully placed 16mm G to E, and 33mm on the bridge. The bridge feet must be carefully shaped to fit the body. String height at end of fretboard should be G 5.5mm to E 3.5mm, which is done by carving or sanding a ...

String height at end of fretboard should be G 5.5mm to E 3.5mm, which is done by carving or sanding a curve on the bridge top. Curve is from 43mm radius. You should include a simple template in card stock for this. Because I didn't understand this at first, the strings scared my nut in bad locations. Please know many of your customers are totally unaware and have no teacher, but want to play. A decent setup will take a non-pro at least 3 hours----after they learn what they need to do. Glarry: hire a luthier to make a special instruction sheet for all this with household tools, and include this with your violins. Good value, very poor information.
