The action is high and there are some sharp fret ends but this bass stays in tune pretty well and sounds good. The tone pot does a nice job of giving some variety of sound which was a pleasant surprise. I really like the unfinished neck. It feels quite good to me. This bass is light so there tends to be some neck dive but has not been something I could not overcome. I think it's a solid buy for a first bass.

I just turned 50 and I really wanted to learn bass. My fear was I'd spend a lot of money only to discover it wasn't for me. After noticing many Youtube reviews of Glarry basses, I decided to buy this one, since it was inexpensive. The bass is a beauty, I love the look of the basswood with the clear coat and the rosewood fingerboard. This is perfect for me to learn on, and I'm already enjoying playing it as I go through lessons. The perfect bass for me at this point in my journey.
