This review is based on the sum of its issues compared to the price. Things I found wrong with it: Fret ends are slightly sharp, nut is sharp and cheap, finish on body was not quite buffed out properly, cheapest bridge I've seen on any bass, volume and tone knobs don't work properly together (wiring issue or cheap pots), strings don't align with pickups very well, pickup screws installed and different angles, NECK DIVE, extremely light body (causing neck dive), not set up properly, some buzzing ...

I had high hopes after reading the other reviews. After a lot of work, I have a playable instrument. First the bad points...The back of the neck has a big dip in the nut-1st fret area where it was over sanded that looks and feels awful. The bridge (and nut) are too narrow for the fingerboard. The pickups are non-standard width so aftermarket upgrades will not fit. The bass is incredibly neck heavy whether with a strap or sitting. There were many rough spots on the back of the neck. The composite ...

Best string to body tone I've ever heard. Bright, bottomy, clearly enunciated. Wow! what are those strings made of? A beautiful, well thought out bass. Thank you for your commitment to the music Uncle GLarry. I am ordering a Burning Fire bass and full size case right now. I am The Celebrity Bassist Jason Laughner and I definitely approve this message.

I own 10 other basses and , I was looking for a 5-string bass that was low-cost, playable, and had passive circuitry. This Glarry 5-string fit the bill perfectly! I bought this bass (and a 4-string fretless, burlywood P-bass style bass) for the exclusive purpose of leaving them at church to be played for the three services we have every Sunday. I'm always asking the sound crew for fresh 9 volt batteries for my basses (and Chourus) and I thought it would be nice to stop doing that (They don't mi ...

Bass is very nice and a great value. I really like the neck which is slightly larger than a Jazz bass and is very stable. The finish is very good also. I wish it came in more colors because I will be buying more...

All guitar companies started somewhere ,Fender,Gibson etc ,in their beginning people said they wouldn't last, their just a dad,I'm an honest believer were witnessing the same thing with GLARRY, I got my 5 string a few months back and LOVE IT, it's my cheapest bass in my collection but the most played,I've upgraded a few things(Glarry please switch to himass bridges please!) lengthened the scale to 36inches to make it more roomy and boomy, added some Wilkinson pickups to it,I gave not a single comp ...

I love My Glarry 5 string Bass, My luthier was impressed with the bass also, especially after i told him the total price plus shipping in a few days. I must admit, I did change out the pickups to Hum-cancelling pickups i ordered from Ali-express. That and a setup ,was all i did to the bass after it was purchased. The only negative thing is the gig bag for the 5 string, seems to be the same one for the 4 string, and it barely zips all they way up. Other than that comment, I still love the bass b ...

I live this bass. It's pretty high quality and the set up is fantastic out of the box. I did lower my action a tad

Happy with my purchase, no complaints, very light weight too. Ready for an active 5 string if you decide to produce one.

I am a beginner. I thought I would finally learn an instrument. The price was right so decided to leap. The bass is great looking and felt nice. The sound as far as my new ears can tell is great. A friend of mine saw the bass decided to get a 5 string for his studio.

Shipping came fast only 6days...Overall Great Bass the tone was killing especially for the price but it is a lot of hum from the volume knobs and hopefully in the future we can see maybe different neck options.

First off, I am not a newbie. I have been playing over thirty years and much of that time as a gigging bassist. I have 50 (yes, FIFTY) guitars and basses. Once of the bass forums I am a member of had a thread about Glarry basses, and my first reaction was, "Who???" Reading the posts, the reactions were surprisingly favorable, ESPECIALLY when I saw what the price points were. Under $100 for a 4 string bass? A 5 string for $119 ... shipped? Well, usually if it sounds too good to be true, it usual ...

(Not an expert on basses) Bought the sunset model on a whim, absolutely love this thing. I don't think it gets much better for the price. Bridge pickup sounds absolutely fantastic, neck pickup isn't my favorite, but I'm not big on the neck pickups of J basses in general. When the tone control is cranked there's a noticeable hum. The neck and fretboard are dry right out of the box, but they can be brought back to life with some linseed oil. The neck is definitely thick, but it fits nicely for ...

The bass come in as expected, beautiful wood grain, extremely light but good build. It's a good base to mod, but the onboard pickups and electronics are good for the price point

one word,IMPRESSIVE....unwrapped a new Glarry 5 string bass. Nice neck ,no burs on the fret edges, smooth & rolled over nicely .Tuned it up and intonation was set really nice.Plugged it in,& wow ,not bad .....a bit of microphonics, but,all in all HOW THE HELL CAN THEY TURN OUT A PRODUCT THIS IMPRESSIVE FOR THE MONEY THEY CHARGE??? An incredible VALUE for the money.....I have LAKLANDS,CARVINS,GODINS,all 5 string basses....I'm quite impressed with this GLARRY,...it's caught my fancy for the moment ...

This is my first 5 string bass (I have eight 4 string basses) and I am thoroughly please with it. After some minor adjustments, the bass played well. The fret ends were not sharp and the only thing that I had a problem with was there was no lock washers on the pots (they would spin) and one of the knobs was damage (I replaced it with one I had). Please note that the bass I purchased was not the G17000255 - GJazz....I changed my order to a GIB Electric 5 String Bass G17000246.

This is my second Glarry bass, with the 4 string version in natural finish being my first. Just as the first did, this bass arrived safely, and even still a little in tune. It was set up well with a comfortably low action and no sharp frets. The pickups sound crystal clear even on the low B string. The finish is gorgeous and absolutely worth twice the asking price alone. All in all, both basses are a steal at this price point, and I highly recommend them. Glarry have proven themselves to me as a ...
