I am a pro player, and have been looking for a "Junior" styled instrument for awhile. I am in the process of substituting my "good guitars" for alternate ones. I have been surprised at the quality of the instruments in this price range. When I saw the ad for the Glarry "Junior", the specs hit all the buttons...Great value, good instrument. I have been surprised at the quality of the instruments in this price range. When I saw the ad for the Glarry "Junior", the specs hit all the buttons...Great value, good instrument. Dual humbucker PUs, quad controls, poplar body (light!) and maple neck. (Am tired of easy to break mahogany ones). Added to the mix is the pearl fret markers, bound fingerboard. This will be one of my gig guitars, so the pricey stuff can stay home. And let me just say here that- I have "name brands" to directly compare to, and this guitar kicks ass. Just sayin. Now, it\'s not perfect, but neither is those $$ name branders. I have to tweek all of them to fit my hands and preferences, so it is normal procedure all all of my guitars. If there are quibble folks needing little minor details, here are a few. The fret board came in a little"fuzzy" (might be due to our high humidity) but a minor fret board tweak/polish took care of that, plus all fret ends and top polish. Upper frets access is fine, a minor reposition for those upper frets is needed as on other guitars, but kudoes for the neck joint design, feels and looks fine, and not like a hunchback. (har!) The bone nut took to files very well, settled to specs quickly. The pots are all connected with shielded wire, many kudoes to that detail. The PUs are a bit squealy, as are ALL PUs on sub $1000 guitars. (BTW, just wax potted a $800 guitar Will do the Glarry soon) I did notice that the guitar has a pronounced response to vibrato, don't know how that was managed, but it sounds great! The body/neck is very comfortable, light enough to play long gigs, and sure is a looker. Glarry, ya got a winner, here..
