Got the guitar and decided to black it out. New black hardware all around. Back of neck was pretty rough so a little sanding and it was good to go. Truss rod adjustment to straighten the neck a little bit and set string height and intonation and it plays great. Really like the sound from the neck pickup but the bridge is a little harsh. Original tuners were not great but I've seen worse. Very happy with it now.

The bad - Fret 21 was "dead". Strings slightly off center to the neck (slightly to the low E string). Does not hinder playing. The good - it was an easy fix (on a guitar I plan on modding anyway). This guitar plays nice. Adjusted the string height and intonation. The amazing - the finish on the body is amazing - not for the price point, amazing period. It's a beautiful guitar. I've been looking to purchase the Red Glarry GTL for several months. It's usually out of stock, but I got lucky and ordered just when they restocked. I'm 69 years old and have been playing the guitar since age 12. From the late Sixties through the early Seventies I played in local bands. UPDATE 2022/05/02 I've owned the GTL Semi-Hollow for over a year now. A year ago I just couldn't adjust the guitar. These guitars are not built using seasoned wood. So it takes about a year for them to dry out and settle in. I left my GTL in a case with a light humidifier. Now, after a year the Neck Relief holds and the guitar stays in tune. I found the Neck Humbucker sounded very muddy with little high end response. The stock Humbucker measured 7956 Ohms. This is rather low for a Humbucker. B ... UPDATE 2022/05/02 I've owned the GTL Semi-Hollow for over a year now. A year ago I just couldn't adjust the guitar. These guitars are not built using seasoned wood. So it takes about a year for them to dry out and settle in. I left my GTL in a case with a light humidifier. Now, after a year the Neck Relief holds and the guitar stays in tune. I found the Neck Humbucker sounded very muddy with little high end response. The stock Humbucker measured 7956 Ohms. This is rather low for a Humbucker. BTW, the stock Single-Coil, in the Bridge Position is a Ceramic Magnet pickup and measures 5733 Ohms. I replaced the Neck Humbucker with a Fender Humbucker from a Squier Bullet Mustang. I had them in my parts bin as I replaced the Mustang's stock pickups with P90s. The new Humbucker measured 9613 Ohms, and doesn't sport a metal cover. I also replaced the GTL's stock 250K Volume and Tone Controls with 500K Pots. And I replaced the stock 0.47mf Capacitor with a 0.22mf Capacitor. All these changes add up to increased punch and treble response from the Neck Humbucker Pickup. Finally, I applied three coats of Lemon Oil to the Neck and Fretboard. Wow! What a difference. Now the GTL not only plays well, it sounds great. Neck Pickup is rich and full toned. Bridge Pickup is bright as a Tele should be. Best of all, when Both Pickups are selected together the sound is just perfect. I enjoy playing my GTL better than playing my Vintage Fender MIJ Jerry Donahue Telecaster. The Glarry is much lighter weight - which is easier on my 70 year old body! 2021/01/25 I've been looking to purchase the Red Glarry GTL for several months. I purchased the Glarry GTL in the color Red. The Guitar arrived in just a few days. Unfortunately, UPS manhandled the package, and left it unattended in the lobby of my apartment building! The shipping box was beat up and the otherwise flawless guitar had a chip in the lower edge. No matter that this guitar cost less than $120, it represents a beautiful musical instrument to me. Glarry Customer Service was fantastic and refunded me a portion of the sale price. For many years I've been doing my own guitar setups, including fret dressing if needed. The Glarry GTL came playable right out of the box. The setup was suitable for a beginner, but not to my Specs. I lowered the action using a 12 to 15 degree fretboard radius, and intonated the strings. That was it. The Guitar plays beautifully now. No rough frets and no sharp, overhanging fret ends. The pickups are balanced - more so than my US Made Fender Telecaster with Lace Sensors installed! I love the light weight of the GTL. It's easy on this old body. Like I said, other than damage by UPS, this guitar is FLAWLESS. If you're thinking of buying one, by all means do it! What a great value. Thank you Glarry Music.

Bought this guitar to keep in my RV when we're camping. It arrived in just few days in perfect condition. I needed to buff the fret ends, not sharp but a little rough, Lowered the action, replaced the strings and adjusted the intonation. Just these items made the guitar play better than I expected. You just can't go wrong with this for the price. Yeah the tone control isn't the greatest, but overall well worth the price.

I'm an average guitar player. I have a couple of Ibanez with humbuckers but really missed that single coil Strat sound. Picked this up last week and I'm very impressed. Fit and finish is exceptional for the price point. I put a set of Ernie balls on it and that really made it sing. Pickups are decent with good output and sound good clean and distorted. I love this guitar. I bought this mainly because I have a red semi hollow body, a white fender and wanted a blue body to finish out the colors and the price was right. This is my third Glarry guitar. And I tell you the quality is getting better and better. The fret ends are perfect. The finish is beautiful. And of course it sounds as good as it looks. MAJOR DAMAGE!!! Well, my guitar arrived today. --- I bought this for my daughter for Christmas. It arrived on the 29th. Not too upset about that because I ordered it on the 18th, knowing it could take up to 10 days for delivery. Well, being all excited when it arrived, when I saw the box, I was immediately concerned. When I opened it, my concerns came to reality. The body is crushed and it must be returned. Overall, the guitar looks good but I didn't do much more than open it, unpack it, ... MAJOR DAMAGE!!! Well, my guitar arrived today. --- I bought this for my daughter for Christmas. It arrived on the 29th. UPDATE - 1-15-21 Upon the arrival of the damaged guitar, I contacted Glarry customer service. The customer service manager I worked with, Manager Lin, was incredibly responsive and helpful! The guitar was replaced immediately! Because the guitar that I ordered was not in stock at the time, I was given the option to wait until it was in stock or the option of choosing another guitar that was in stock. Because it was a gift, I wanted to replace it as soon as I could and so I chose a different guitar from the Glarry inventory. The guitar was immediately put on order and I received it roughly 12 to 15 days later. All through this time, the service manager was in contact with me and was very helpful and responsive to my messages. As you know, these guitars are quite competitively priced but they are worth every penny and more! I've been playing guitar for nearly all of my life and I really enjoy the guitar I bought for my child. It's a fantastic beginner guitar and to be honest, I'm considering getting one for myself for fun! The classic question: Would I buy from Glarry again? Heck yes! The only problem I had during this entire transition was the worry about how the guitar would arrive. They are not packed very well and so I was "biting my nails" while waiting for the second guitar to arrive. it arrived in PERFECT condition! Thanks Glarry and thanks to a very responsive customer service department!

I would compare this Tele to guitars costing 6 times as much. It needed a complete setup but anyone can do that filling info on google. I also bought the jazz bass and it is comparable to my $800.00 Fender. Setup on it was perfect out of the box. I have 3 Strats but planning to buy one of these for the rougher gigs.

Arrived perfect. No flaws in finish and no fret buzz. Would highly recommend. New fender has fret buzz, glarry didn't have any. The action is slightly higher but still very playable even for a beginner.

This guitar is fantastic! Out of the box the action was good-low enough for easy playing and no buzz. The humbucker is awesome huge difference between the single coil and humbucker. I was nervous about the pickups being microphonic - they are not. I oiled up the neck and stretched the factory strings - they are holding the tuning so I will keep them until they break. I love this guitar-great job glarry!!

Let me start by saying the Guitar is great for $120.00. In my case it took a total of 11 days to get it though and many reviews said it was so fast? Now it is close to Christmas and with Covid19 concerns it takes longer but this was frustrating. It took 4 days to leave Glarry location. Then FedEx kept saying out for delivery, everyday for 4 days in a row. I really thought it was lost. When it came it was slightly damaged. I was very lucky I think because the people who actually did the shipping didn't damage it at all. First thing I did was inspect the box it came in and it showed no signs of any trauma. After watching a review on You Tube from Doug of The Sound Test Room, I purchased both the GST guitar and the GP Bass. I'm a drummer who after 30 years of gigging, took up the 3 stringed cigar box guitar as a result of not being able to gig due to COVID lockdowns.
