Bass is surprisingly good. With a good setup I would rate it very close to a squire Classic Vibe.. The neck is closer to a 50s profile than it is a modern C shape The best feature is that the neck on the J bass is the same as the P bass, making it the only J bass I know of with a fat neck. True J bass people wouldn't like it. This is my third Glarry bass. One of them has a twisted neck so by this measure the probability of a bad one would be about 30%. As a 6/12 string guitarist, I have to say these bass is massive, especially the neck, but solid, stable, very little fret sprout, no buzzing and quite playable right out of the box. Looks cool, too. Craftsmanship far exceeds the price. I'm stunned at the quality of this bass, especially for the price. It took some set up, to be expected (the neck has 2 reinforcement rods), but worth the time. Loving my "low cost" bass.

Im surprised of this little guy. Im a small person and it fits great in my hands. It has some rough edges and minor details that need adjustment like the action but nothing out of the ordinary. The gig bag that comes with it is pretty cheap and barely fits the bass. Sound wise I tested it and once the action was fixed sounded clearer, nice tone for chords but nothing too crazy. For the price I guess is great for kids and beginners.

I bought this bass for a school in the Philippines, and it is a perfect size for the students, and after setup it plays and sounds great. Note the "after setup" part. The intonation was so bad out of the box that I thought the frets were misplaced, and considered returning it as defective. I got the GB short scale, it arrived when promised. It was packaged up well enough and arrived undamaged even though the outside box looked like it had been bounced and thrown about. This is perfect for my purposes. I normally play Guitar, but needed an "emergency bass" to leave in the car at all times, in case my bass player doesn't show up at our twice monthly jam. Got the bass, beautiful. Simple, clean smooth neck. My setup so far is 1) straighten the neck w/ the supplied Allen wrench, lower the action.
